I've had nothing but a headache since…

I've had nothing but a headache since enrollment with this company. It's a pai. To get ahold of customer service. They repeatedly ask for documentation after its been sent. Then when they get the documents they don't read the notes. Refunded me.like 6 dollars. I may as well had kept my 100+ dollars a month since I've been literally paying out of pocket with no re embursement. Customer service reps were very nice though (when you can get one) very dissatisfied with this company and I don't recommend them to anyone.

Getting into and using your web site

Getting into and using your web site is tuff for a 75 yo man. It needs to be more seniors user friendly. How to do that i don't know. It took me almost 2 hours to submit my last claim.

Your premium WILL go up, but coverage and efficiency is worth it

We had Embrace for a previous pet and decided to try them again for our new puppy. Our first year premium was $464. Our second year premium was $571. Our third year was $984. This is all with zero claims. The third year premium was too high for us, but Embrace lets you alter your deductible and reimbursement percentage to bring down the price which we did. Then our dog ate a foreign body and ended up having $12K+ medical expense. Embrace covered the amount we expected given our coverage. I submitted the bills on a Saturday and the money was direct deposited by Tuesday so I can pay down our maxed out credit cards immediately.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
