embrace is horrible
embrace is horrible. our dog had giardia from the shelter we rescued her from 11 1/2 months ago. during that time, embrace claimed any type of upset stomach was due to her having giardia months ago and each time she had an upset stomach, they would extend giardia as a pre-existing condition 12 months (IM NOT MAKING THIS UP. IT'S INSANE). she hadn't had any stomach trouble for 11 1/2 months. she then got 2 very serious vaccines and had an upset stomach for a day (which our vet said is extremely common). embrace is telling me this is because of giardia and that they're extending the pre-existing definition of giardia another 12 months. they won't return any of my calls. i would never ever recommend them to anyone. i plan on leaving if they don't resolve this and i hope no one ever uses them. there are so many better alternatives.

Great service!
Our new puppy got sick on Christmas day and gave us a gift of a hefty emergency hospital bill! We were lucky it was also the day when our sickness coverage started. The customer representative I spoke with before submitting the claim was extremely helpful and very nice. They advised that the first claim could take up to 30 calendar days, but our claim was completed twice as fast (and only took longer because the hospital double-charged us for one item). Every day I logged into the app, there was some update. I am really impressed by the efficiency of the claim adjuster.
I think we made a great decision by choosing Embrace for our puppy.
Monthly Cost
$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.
Coverage
You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.
Deductible
Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.
Age Limits
Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll.
New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active.
Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian.
Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
