GOOD and BAD
I have been with Embrace for eight years now.
I've had some mixed feelings but have found that the claim process has been easy, the policy has been outlined and reasonably explained. However, the issues I have are in the area of what is and is not covered and the increases.
There are things that are not just black and white and I feel a few of my claims were warranted but declined. The response time to the submissions are excellent although not always in agreement with what I feel should be covered. In addition to that, the annual increases have been in sudden significant jumps.
Last year my policy went up over 25%. This year, I believe it's going up again. This has made me reconsider renewing my policy.

Embrace's Claim's Process is Quick and Easy
Today, July 7, 2025, I submitted about 12 claims, 6 each for our two puppies. These claims covered the six monthly wellness visits for our new puppies. It took me less than 20 minutes. This was fast. The website did not freeze one time. It had a convenient client link to drop my invoices. It did not ask for a lot of unnecessary information. It even remembered the diagnosis selections to save me time by not requiring me to scroll to the bottom to find "wellness." Right now, I am really loving Embrace. I hope they can pay our claims within, say, 3 - 5 days. If so, they have a life-long customer. I wish human medical claims reimbursement process were this easy. This is nice!

Easy filing
It was easier than I thought to file a claim. Your system allows for multiple pages to be uploaded at once.
Monthly Cost
$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.
Coverage
You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.
Deductible
Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.
Age Limits
Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll.
New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active.
Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian.
Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
