I can't recommend Embrace Insurance for your pets strongly enough.

The five star rating is deserved for all the reasons indicated. Claims are paid quickly and monthly payments are affordable (at least at this point)

Don’t use embrace pet insurance

I contacted the better business bureau today to ask if in one year time a month payment can go to $84 to $217 a month as I’ve been with embrace and loyal for 9 years and for the first time I received back $200 and this is how much my monthly payment got raised. There should be a law on how much of a percentage can be raised year to year, I will look into this because if there is not a law I will fight for one for pet owners. I don’t recommend embrace to anyone. If a pdf could be attached I would show proof the the price increase. This amount raised is ridiculous. This is what you get for being loyal.

We have been paying premiums for years.

We have been paying premiums for a few years now and have never submitted a claim until now: our dogs have always been in generally good health. Our small female terrier became ill and after a trip to her vet and then the veterinary emergency room, she was diagnosed with pancreatitis. After 2 days in the hospital, with treatment, she was released to go home: along with a $7k bill…. Embrace covered almost all of it. The process was simple and the response immediate, within 72 hrs. Thank you Embrace!

I chose Embrace over Trupanion

I just submitted a new claim on my 7 week old puppy. I hope there are no issues for her wellness exam. She did get a clean bill of health.. However there are more vaccinations needed. I chose this insurance over Trupanion because of the wellness coverage. We shall see.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
