Just started with them and I’m already extremely unimpressed
So far, unfortunately, I cannot give embrace a good review. It seems as though they will do anything they can to avoid paying any claims. Basically, one of my kitties has a completely clean bill of health for his heart, but on one emergency visit showed he had a heart murmur (due to fear! He’s never had one since) And they are excluding any future heart related issues from his coverage, saying that he has a Pre-existing heart condition (laughable because the same exact vet took an x-ray of his chest and said his heart is fully healthy, and his chest is completely clear). When I called my vet to chat with them about this and they heard I was using Embrace they said that they are a nightmare to deal with and basically I should switch to anybody else. I am appealing his heart condition on the medical review since it is not an actual pre-existing condition and hopefully things will look up in the future but honestly, I’m expecting the worst.
Communication, timeliness, and service have been great over the 3 years I have been with Embrace. The only improvement I would suggest is being able to see the documents I have uploaded on the website. Otherwise, very happy!
I've had Embrace pet insurance for my little rescue dog for a couple of years, and I highly recommend this company. I researched a number of pet insurance companies and compared coverages, deductibles, user reviews, everything. Although I hoped that I'd never have to file a claim, I wanted to feel confident that if I did need to file a claim that I would be working with a company that would be there for my little fur-baby and me.
Nearly two years into our policy, I filed claims related to two different situations. Embrace has an extremely thorough process for reviewing a pet's history after the first claim is filed. That process was the only part of the experience with Embrace that I think can be improved. They requested a lot of medical documents from the various veterinary providers who had seen my fur-baby. Some of those requests went to the wrong email address, which delayed the process. And although I uploaded quite a few medical documents via the portal, they didn't seem to be receiving those documents, which further delayed the process. After about two months, an adjuster reached out directly to me, I emailed all the requested documents directly to her, and a couple of days later, Embrace gave me the great news that they approved everything!
I know a number of people with pets who think pet insurance is expensive and not worth buying. Yet, some of those same people complain that when their pets became ill they had to spend thousands of dollars on vet bills.
Based on my experience and policy, having Embrace pet insurance is a great value and a small price to pay for my beloved fur-baby's good health and my peace of mind.

Embrace has saved my dog's life- or at least has given us over another year with him, covering his chemo treatments throughout his lymphoma diagnosis, through remission and coming out of it, they have been so fast and reliable we haven't hesitated to do everything in our power to make sure he has had the right treatment at the right time and is comfortable as possible. You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.
Deductible
Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.
Age Limits
Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll.
New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active.
Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian.
Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
