I just recently purchased pet insurance through Embrace for my whippet, Devo. I ended up getting it because he had recently been nipped by another dog while playing and had to get $400 dollars worth of stitches. While I have not had to use the insurance for any accident or illness claims I did take advantage of the wellness program, it's sort of like a "dog FSA".
The claim process for his wellness reimbursement was very easy and quick. I had the check in about 2 weeks from the time I submitted the claim.
I also had Devo go through a medical review, Embrace reviewed his past year's worth of records and provided me a detailed outline of what pre-exsisting conditions would be covered and when. This way if something happens but it was a condition he had been seen for before I won't be surprised if something isn't covered.

Thank you Embrace!
I am a veterinarian. So I get good courtesy discounts on veterinary care. But I am SO GLAD that I signed up my dogs for Embrace! My young dog (barely 7) was just diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Embrace has been a huge asset to us and is giving us the ability to provide top notch care to our special dog without as much concern for the finances. Financial strain is HUGE when you have a pet. Why add that strain to an already stressful situation with a devastating diagnosis? I encourage all of my clients to sign up their pets for insurance, and Embrace is my #1 recommendation. Their client care and support is second to none. Their coverage of chronic conditions is really important. ALWAYS sign up your pet sooner rather than later, to avoid pre-existing condition exclusions!

Friendly People, Good Coverage
I just completed my first claim for my dog after he had to have some skin masses biopsied. I am happy to tell you that I had no trouble getting these claims approved even though this was our first claim. Everyone I have encountered at Embrace has been friendly and very responsive to any questions I have. I recommend Embrace to anyone considering pet insurance. To me the piece of mind of that comes with having pet insurance is well worth it.

Great Insurance
I have a new puppy and I knew I wanted to get insurance because it isnt easy to predict what would happen in the future. I have to say that Embrace is a great insurance and they are very attentative. I love the way that they email you for anything. I am the type of person who needs those constant reminders. I couldnt ask for better customer service.

So Grateful for Embrace!
All I have to say is thank goodness for Embrace Pet Insurance. Normally I would not have bought Pet Insurance, however we had our new Great Dane puppy for 3 days, and we had to take him to Univ of Penn Vet Hospital for continuous vomiting and lethargy, and shelled out over $2000 for the visit. This just happening after 3 days of owning our new puppy, we decided to start looking for some Pet Insurance. After much research, we decided to go with Embrace. We choose the plan with a $500 deductible, and a reimbursement of 90% (with the highest yearly maximum of $10,000). Our Great Dane is now over 2 years old, and he would not be here with us today if it wasn’t for us purchasing a policy with Embrace. He’s turned out to be the most precious dog in the world, however he’s had many ups and downs in the past 2 years, and many, many visits to the Vet’s office/hospital. In October he was diagnosed with Wobblers Disease (cervical vertebral instability), which he’ll be treated for the rest of his life with medical management. Our Vet bills were just over $2200, and Embrace reimbursed us about $1300 (we were responsible for the $500 deduct, 10% coinsurance & prescription meds). Then just last month in November we had to have our sweet boy admitted to a Vet Hospital for 6 days. After about 3 days in the hospital, they told us our dane was diagnosed with Addison’s disease (adrenal insufficiency - another life-long illness which he’ll be treated with medical management for the rest of his
You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.
Deductible
Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.
Age Limits
Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll.
New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active.
Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian.
Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
