Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

I have been with Embrace for over a year now, and boy, was it worth it! With a new puppy, you never know what you will run in to. Embrace has been a hassle-free pet insurance, and a pleasure to deal with. Embrace always emails me to keep me updated on the claim, which is very much appreciated!

I have never had pet insurance before for my previous dogs. But we were faced with a hard decision with our last pet and we couldn't afford to proceed with any further investigations to an illness due to cost. We had just had twins and there was no way we could spend thousands of dollars on tests and surgery to maybe find out that it was all futile and so had to put our last pet to sleep. So I made a promise to myself that I would not be in that position again. So with our new puppy in the house; I did some internet searches and fell across Embrace. I knew I did not want to go with the most well known pet insurer as I had heard that they were not good at reimbursement for major events. For me it was most important to have coverage for the unforeseen events and not for regular visits and vaccines etc... The friendly staff on the phone, discussed the available plans and options and helped me find the best plan with no pressure.My dog is 5 yrs. old now and unfortunately for her and I; she has been through the ringer with one thing and another but I can always count on Embrace to help us through financially. Improving the quality of her life which I could not otherwise afford. I feel like embrace is family and ALWAYS highly recommend them. I already have some friends at work that have also taken out policies with Embrace. I wished I lived in Ohio .... as I would love to go visit their office and office pets. Great customer service, respond in a timely manner. I now regret that we didnt have insurance coverage on our last dog.

We have two dogs, and both are relatively young (one is 5 and one is 4). In discussions with friends, I found out they had pet insurance and it had been a lifesaver when her dog required ACL surgery. Something kept nagging at me to get pet insurance, and I am so glad I did. My 5-year old Husky ended up having extensive medical issues, that we NEVER would have anticipated. Embrace has been AMAZING through the whole process. The customer service is amazing.

Once again I have received a superbly prompt and professional processing of my claim for one of my kitties. Laura Bennett is great! I am very happy with the work of the Embracers, and with the direct deposit of the refund being so convenient and quick. The one exception to my otherwise excellent experiences is that I believe a medically-prescribed item for my cat should be covered which isn't: Kristalose is being called a "supplement" - but in the case of my cat it is being used as a medical *treatment* for serious constipation tendencies. The Kristalose is necessary *in addition* to my cat's prescription food specifically designed to aid her digestion. I was unpleasantly surprised that the Kristalose is not covered, especially because it is *prescribed* by my cat's veterinarian and I have to buy it about every 2 months on an ongoing basis or my cat starts getting *sick.* So while usually I give Embrace a "10" in my ratings, this time I'll have to go for an "8" because of the Kristalose non-coverage issue.
