We, and our dog, copuld not be happier

In this era of bait and switch (or bait and bait and bait), Embrace delivers exactly what it promises, when it promises it. During our first year as customers,our claims, both for "Wellness" charges and for covered problems, have been paid in full and promptly without hesitation or haggling. Beyond these details, I've gotten a sense that the people working for the organization have a genuine feeling for pets. I've been proselytizing for Embrace at the dog park and at my vet (who, at my urging, agreed to put some Embrace brochures next to the VPI display).

Always larger than expected refund!

I purchased Embrace Insurance for my Doberman, Sadie, as her sixth birthday present. (What else can you get the "girl" who has everything!) She will be ten in August. I have submitted claims every year and always receive a refund that is larger than I expect. Immediately after submitting a claim, a representative is always in touch, which I really appreciate. I now have a second dog and intend to get him a policy, as well. Great Company!!

They accept alternative healthcare!

Though there are some growing pains while the staff learns more about Homeopathy, I appreciate that this company accepts alternative veterinary care. My vet integrates Eastern and Western care in her practice and it is so nice that I have coverage for both. Claims are handled very quickly and I can always reach a real human being with questions!!I am hopeful that the staff will become more fluent in more alternate modalities; but they are certainly leading the way in veterinary insurance as it is.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
