Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

I am pretty sure that if a vet wrote on an evaluation form that an animal was breathing air and that their heart was beating, Embrace would use the information to declare that there were pre-existing respiratory and cardiac issues. I quit this company before I ever filed a claim, because if you take good care of your animals and take them to the vet for what are obviously one-time and not chronic issues, Embrace will still find a way to designate a pre-existing conditions. Don't waste your money.

I submitted 4 claims pertaining to Wellness for my new puppy, faxed them to Embrace,and received an email that they were being processed. One day later I got an email update that all 4 claims were being reimbursed at 100% of what I paid on my vet's invoice. I can't tell you how much that helps my finances and I wish I would have purchased insurance when I had my first dog. The Wellness benefit alone is reason enough to purchase this insurance. I know I will use more than the $400 this year, as my dog still needs to be neutered, but with the reimbursment I am getting it will be applied to that - which means less out of pocket cost for me. I was very surprised at the prompt reimbursement of the first and second claim for wellness visits I had! The vet office faxed my form on Saturday morning on both occasions, and both times I had the check in the mail that Thursday! I wish my health insurance would respond to a claim so quickly! Hopefully I never need to use the Accident/ Illness portion of the plan, but I am hopefull that it is that easy!

Our 9 month old yellow lab swallowed one of our daughters socks. He didn't show signs of distress until a couple days later when he started vomiting. After talking with our vet (after hours),he advised us to take him to the local emergency animal clinic. They took ex-rays,and low and behold they saw a blockage and said he needed surgery. Everything went smoothly,he went home couple days later,and his recovery has progressed very well. We submitted all documentation to Embrace,they reviewed the claim and within 3 to 4 weeks we received an approval for a refund check. The bill was for over $4700 dollars,and our refund check(after all deductions) was over $ 3500 dollars. Anyone considering pet insurance should give Embrace every consideration.
