Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

This was the first experience I have had with pet insurance. When I got my cairn terrier as a puppy, 5 years ago, I started with Embrace. First we had the Wellness plan. At age 2, I changed it to the Accident and Illness. All my other cairns were very hardy and lived to 16, so I just wanted peace of mind. My poor Bailey was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer last August, because I had Embrace,I was able to afford trying chemo to extend her days. We were blessed with 6 more months. The staff at Embrace are very kind and prompt with processing claims. Thank you Embrace.

I had submitted some claims 60 days after joining. After checking out that there was no pre-existing condition payment was promptly made. Very professional. Kept me in the loop the whole time.

Unfortunately my experience Embrace was not the best. I had two claims denaid and I was not satisfied with the customer service I was provided on several calls. I have a cat who I take regularly to the doctor for the same reason, and for that matter they denied my claims, after they explained to me that my cat could have developed a chronic condition, and that they will not cover that, I decided to cancel my policy.

I have both Wellness and Illness/Emergency Policies. On both, the reimbursements have been accurate and very quickly paid. Thank you Embrance!

Our 2 YO Lab ate a sock (not his first time; probably not his last time) that became an obstruction (hopefully the last time!). He needed emergency abdominal surgery requiring an overnight stay at the clinic. He seemed well on his way to recovery, but a few days later his condition worsened to the point where he required another emergency overnight stay with the vet for IV fluids and monitoring. He eventually bounced back and is 100% fine. Embrace accepted all claims immediately and processed 3 out of 4 of them within a few days. The last claim took longer because they needed more information from the vet, but it too was acceepted at the full benefit. We are so thankful to the vet for taking care of our dog and to Embrace for offering this affordable service to assist with unexpected emergency costs.
