Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

This insurance allowed me to give my dog the treatment she needed when she ate ibuprofen tablets. She needed to be hospitalized and on liquids for 3 days, and I truly believe she would have had serious kidney problems had she not received this expensive treatment. Embrace reimbursed me within a week of submitting my claim and they are always extremely helpful when I need to call. I gave them a 9 because I just don't give 10s, no other reason.

Got two wellness shots for my pet dog on 5/1. Veterinarian's office faxed claim the same day. Notified on 5/4 by email that Embrace had paid the claim and deposited the refund to my checking account. Everything was very promptly processed.

My Border Collie mix developed severe glaucoma and required surgery in both eyes. The Embrace staff was always helpful and courteous, I sent my first claims, relatively small ones for the local diagnosis and care, by mail. The review took several days, but i was able to keep track of it online. The surgery bill was faxed, and I was shortly notified of the direct deposit option. The smaller check arrived by mail, and the direct deposit was made a couple of days later. I received an e-mail to make sure that the mailed check had arrived. The fact that insurance covered the major expenses greatly eased the stress of her difficult treatment. She is the first dog I have ever insured, but if I get another, it will also be covered by Embrace. My only problem with the company is that I cannot upgrade her policy without making the glaucoma pre-existing, which of course I won't do.

Embrace Pet Insurance is a way to put those unexpected expenses to rest. The policies are easy to understand and claims are paid promptly. My advice is to buy pet insurance when you don't need it and to ask your vet about the types of expenses you will occur with your pet.

Embrace was very prompt in both issuing a claim check and handling a cancellation for my recently deceased friend, CG. She stopped eating and being her perky self. After an expensive procedure to diagnose the issue, Embrace covered 75% of the bill which helped a lot. It turned out to be pancreatic cancer and CG went to kitty heaven a few weeks later. Embrace was very understanding and caring when I told them about CG and handled the administration quickly.
