Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

My five year old beagle, Ellie, developed a small bump above her left forelimb knuckle near Halloween last October (2014). I thought it was just a passing bruise or bug bite, until it continued to grow from 1/2 inch to 1 inch in diameter by Christmas.My vet biopsied and diagnosed the bump as a soft tissue Sarcoma and performed the necessary surgery to remove the mass in early February of 2015. Embrace reimbursed the $1200+ claim within three weeks of submission. The mass has now regrown, and having determined that the cancer has not spread to the lungs, we have scheduled surgery to amputate the left forelimb at the shoulder. Ellie and I are hoping for a happy ending. I thank my Embrace team of health professionals for their timely and continuous support during these difficult times.

I rescued a dog from a high kill shelter and he ended up fracturing a number of teeth within a few months of getting him. Instead of having the canines pulled by a vet, I was able to get him more extensive help through a canine dental specialist so he could keep his teeth. Embrace paid for his dental surgery and follow up. I can't express how easy and compassionate they were during this experience!!

With two rescue dogs and a cat there always seems to be a need for a trip to the vet - tooth removal, foxtails inside the skin, cataract surgery, cactus thorn in the throat. Without fail, Embrace responds quickly and is always helpful. It makes it easier to deal with all those little emergencies - and the big ones. The latest two visits meant more tooth removals and surgery. Took a weight off our shoulders knowing our boys could be cared for without going in the hole.

This was about the third major claim we have made for one of my two labradoodles in the almost ten years we have had them. The response from Embrace was incredibly fast. When we do the math, we've more than gotten out what we've put in to premiums!

My papillon mix has been insured through Embrace since I brought her home five years ago. Over the years we've had minimal need to file claims though the few that I had were always quickly taken care of. Last year my pup had her first seizure; this year she had another. The emergency visit to the vet was costly, and so were the follow-up tests to try to diagnose the cause of her seizures. They covered exactly what the policy agreement said they would cover, without the back and forth fighting that one usually experiences when dealing with insurance companies. The claims were quickly processed and the check was sent promptly. When you're stressing out about your baby's health, the last thing you want to do is waste time bickering with the insurance company. Thank you Embrace for being an honest insurance company. I would (and do) recommend them to all of my friends that have companion animals at home.
