Terrible System
The main issue was that they needed further information from one of the vets we attended. They weren’t making an effort to get it, and asked for my assistance for the info, but neither the online portal, nor the email request had info regarding which vet or what information they needed.
After 3 phone calls with embrace I was able to figure out what they needed, and get it from the provider (which was very easy) and had them send it to me and Embrace, which I’m glad I did. I also forwarded the info and got email notification of receipt.
One month later I get an email saying they never received it, so I get on the phone with a fourth rep, and have them put me in touch with an adjuster. Suzanne was great and got it figured out immediately.
There’s just so many things wrong it’s hard to make any meaningful criticisms… but Suzanne was awesome, so two stars.

Make sure you do your research on pre…
Make sure you do your research on pre existing conditions. My French bull dog had a slight ear infection when we did his initial wellness exam and according to their terms any Dermatologic condition is not covered for 12 months. I paid out of pocket 700$ and they didn’t cover any of it. Sad since I pay almost 100$ a month for absolutely nothing. They did not warn me about this when I got coverage initially so I feel completely scammed out of thousands of dollars.

OUTSTANDING Pet Insurance and Super Easy Claims Process
Reasonable pet wellness and insurance rates. Submitted our most recent claim for reimbursement for both our dogs annual wellness visits...filed claim on super easy website, Embrace reimbursed on the same day direct deposit, simply amazing!!! I would highly recommend for both wellness and insurance on your dog.

First time opted to purchase pet…
First time opted to purchase pet insurance. Over thirty years paid many vet bills for cats. With two new purebred kittens researched many and chose Embrace. They are always there for you if you have to call. Website very easy to follow, submit claims, etc. They are proactive in handling of claims. Have had just six months and very pleased. Peace of mind is worth it. 10% off for add on pets.
Monthly Cost
$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.
Coverage
You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.
Deductible
Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.
Age Limits
Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll.
New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active.
Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian.
Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
