Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

I did a lot of research before deciding to go with Embrace Pet insurance for my 1 year old rescue. The deciding factor was that Embrace pays based on actual charges not on national averages for any given service provided. I have sine had two claims that were promptly processed and approved. Their website and app make it incredibly easy to file a claim etc. I am very happy with their service.

Unhappy with this insurance company. Almost every vet visit is classified as “wellness” . Coverage is limited to $250. So essentially we are paying $600 a year for $250 of coverage. We are considering dropping our policy.

My pet had to have an unexpected and expensive surgery and it was covered. They reviewed the documents in a timely manner and issued a refund. I also called customer service with a question and they were great! I highly recommend this company.

I was very concerned that our claim would be denied for some kind of technicality found on page so and so of the agreement. Well it was not. Embrace paid the claim timely and the process was smooth.

7/9/24 in addition to the increase in price below, I found something else out about their pricing. When you get a quote you can chose options to add exams fees and prescription drugs. On my quote if I added them both BEFORE selecting my reimbursement levels they came to $4.69/month. If I added them AFTER selecting reimbursement levels, they came to $14.09/month. A difference of $9.40/month added on the sly, hoping you won't notice (which I didn't when I signed up). All I can say is, be alert. Or go elsewhere. To all those giving Embrace 5 stars, have you recently received a renewal? Well I just did, and my cat's policy (which I've only had for one year so this is my first increase) went from $34.52/month to $51.37/month. That's a difference of $16.85, a more than 48% increase. I don't know how this is even legal. I expected it to go up but this is nothing more than greed and price gouging. If you're here doing your research before you consider signing up with them, think twice. Actually, think more than twice.
