Working with Embrace was easy

Working with Embrace was easy, but I realized the check was mailed to the wrong location. I have emailed, called, etc and have not gotten any response in over 2 weeks. It’s a nightmare!

All Claims Lost

Embrace lost all of the claims that were sent to them by certified mail on 6/11/24. Embrace received them on 6/17/24, according to USPS. However, Embrace cannot find them. Every time I call them, they give me another excuse. Every time I email them, I get more excuses. I absolutely do not recommend this company.

Horrible Customer Service with a high price tag

I have had paid for Embrace Pet Insurance for my dog for years. I have never once filed a claim but the premiums sky rocket every year he gets older once he hit a certain age. I’m talking $70 to $90 per year. I need to talk to them and have been on hold for 25 minutes waiting for someone to answer! On top of that there isn’t even a message saying where you are in the queue so it’s just frustration and anxiety having no idea how much longer you have to wait. Still on hold now. The only chat help is from a ridiculous bot. Horrible customer service with a high price tag. Pathetic

Very slow pay if ever

Very slow pay. Kept saying they didn’t have paperwork that I had already sent them, sometimes more than once. Rejected clearly legitimate claims. After a year some claims still not resolved. Zero feedback from them. After I filed a claim, my premium nearly doubled for my two dachshunds.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
