Rip off

I have submitted bills for my dog that have been disallowed and called "wellness" when she was treated (and is currently being treated) for an anal abscess. She has also had GI issues which I had taken her to another vet and submitted the bills. Everything was disallowed. I thought I would trial insurance for a year. I have spent $59.00/month with a $250 deductible and 10K max policy that is now set to lapse in 2 weeks. I am not going to renew especially since the premiums of same policy are set to almost double. My $720 was a total waste of money. My human insurance is cheaper and far better than this scam. I will be self funding again.

Easy claim submission

Embrace makes submitting claims the easiest I've ever seen. Human insurers should take a lesson. Having a much loved pet die suddenly is hard enough, without having to jump through hoops to submit a claim for the expenses.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
