2016-2024 customer then left

Was with Embrace from 2016 to August 2024. Initially the first few years they were great to have and had the best customer service. I had the wellness and accident-illness plans. I had everything covered and would generally max out my wellness benefits before i would need to dip into my accident-illness. Even things like groomers were covered. The issues started once we relocated from Missouri to Texas. Rates just seem to increase a little each year but not at any alarming rates and still pretty affordable. Fast forward to when my dog turned 7 years old and rates starting going up like significantly to even when he turned 8 years old May 2024 I even more till point I was paying 46.95 (wellness no change) +$111.76 (accident-illness, huge jump). They claimed it was due to my dogs age. I bite for a few months until they claimed to not wish to cover one of my scheduled appointments with my dog where they found some type of urine infection. So instead of pushing it towards wellness, they tried to push it towards accident-illness within hours (I submitted late night before and claim was song next morning) of my initial submitting. This lead to a phone call immediately as I had paid over $243.66 for the appointments and they were only initial going to give me a fourth of that cost. Customer Service had to go back and forth between me and the adjuster which was mildly annoying versus allowing me to speak directly to them. Finally I told them to cancel my account effective next day. I was advised i would been refunded certain things but may also needed to be pay Embrace for additional funds that may exceed $100 to $200 that would be in an email since again the adjusters won't call you directly. All in all super disappointed where this company has gone from where ir was 6 years ago.

Terrible

Terrible. They take your money and run. Endless automated emails. Requests for information on loop even after it’s been sent 2-3 times. Decline 100% of claims. Avoid at all costs.

Easiest claim experience

As long as you have a computer/printer/scanner, this is the easiest claim reporting I have ever had, either for humans or dogs!

Been trying to get ahold of Embrace…

Been trying to get ahold of Embrace regarding my claim. The first claim was denied cause my dog couldn't wait 6 months to get arthritis, now again had to take my dog to the vet, submitted a claim, and still waiting. The status claims awaiting for doctor's note, when I spoke to the Embrace agent I was advised that they did receive the notes from the vet and I should hear back soon. Well, went to my app looked at the claims, and guess what it still states awaiting doctors notes, really. I am totally getting annoyed. I know that its almost a month, but just change the status you got the notes, now it states differently. Just want an answer.
