Good Experience and Decision

We are new to EMBRACE through USAA. The experience has been positive and the coverage for the cost is affordable. They are easy to contact and answer all questions. Folks I have spoken with have been knowledge and friendly. They tell you the facts so you can make the decision necessary. Highly recommend.

I call back a CSR and was going to…

I call back a CSR and was going to enrolled in the pet insurance with all the extra coverage. I was ready to provide a payment for enrollment; however, the young man informs me there would be a $25.00 extra charge to enrolled. I advised you never explained or mention that when I talked to you for over 20 minutes about your product. I decided against enrolling as I never heard of such a thing. Way too expensive.

Denied claims and the steps to approval...appropriate documents need to be reviewed

Despite the fact the first claim I submitted was not approved after submitted additional information showing the claims were not connected to a prior incident (before coverage started), it was approved along with the most recent claim submitted. I believe the process, even with understandable (and temporary) frustration, was the appropriate steps taken for the representative at Embrace. Reviews took the time to review documents and come to a fair and reasonable decision.

My dog had shots that were due then she Needed her teeth cleaned 4/24

My dog had shots that were due then she had to have her teeth cleaned and they put all of this underneath the wellness care I spent $1200 and I only got back from them $350. I’m definitely going to find another pet insurance company I do not feel that teeth. Cleaning should go under wellness.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
