The turn around time for reimbursement…

The turn around time for reimbursement is much longer than what I experience with Trupanion. even when all the documentation is provided

Embrace needs to change their business model

I had two dogs on my policy. I have been a customer since 2009. Sadly, my dog Bruce got very ill and had to be put to sleep. I called to cancel his policy. I know that the person I spoke with could see that my dog was very old. They did not bother to ask why I was canceling my policy and flippantly said OK, Bruce is off your policy. I felt this was not right. My pet care company of dog products and pharmaceuticals actually sent me flowers! Wow! That is the business model which Embrace should embrace. Embrace should learn a little bit about customer care and sympathy. I am very disappointed in this company and they should change their name because they don't embrace anything but money.

Love/Hate but Mostly Love

I have a love/hate relationship with Embrace but I will say they are one of the best out there for your pet. I've had them for almost 8 years and they are still one of the only pet insurance companies that cover grooming. There's a few reasons I don't love them all the time... one pain in the a** is uploading claims on their app. It takes soooo long that you just want to give up on it (maybe a tactic on their end lol). Uploading them on their website from my laptop is so much faster and easier. I've also had quite a few discussions with them over some claims that should have been covered imo. Most of them were settled but there were a few times they chose not to cover in the end. I do have to say that their coverage has changed a lot since we first signed up. For example, my one dog has been doing hydrotherapy since 2017 for occasional lameness. They used to cover it no matter what but for the past couple years they will only cover 12 sessions for a new injury per policy period. That's one of the discussions I ended up losing. It's very important that she continues going so it would be great if they still covered it. Their rates are pretty comparable with other companies though and I love that they have the wellness option to cover things such as grooming, acupuncture, preventative care & even CBD if your vet recommends it. Their customer service reps are always so nice and helpful. I have had a pretty decent experience with them. Just make sure you get your claims in on time and challenge anything they don't cover. And the sooner you get coverage for your pet the better because no pet insurance companies will cover pre-existing conditions... so get it before there are any. Every pet owner should get insurance if they can and I highly recommend Embrace. I would much rather have them than not.

Embrace has your back

Embrace has been there for my two dogs several times already. With the high cost of veterinary care I don’t understand how people can not have pet insurance. It is well worth it to me!

My 2.5 yr old cat was critically ill…

My 2.5 yr old cat was critically ill requiring at first weekend emergency hospitalization followed by a stay in an advanced veterinary ICU where he received excellent high tech care. The bills were so high, but knowing I had this policy gave my cat a chance to possibly get well. I'm grateful to my cat's foster mother who told me to get this Embrace policy, as it saved his life.
