Easy claims process

I've had Embrace coverage for around two years on my three cats. My experience has been very positive! After getting everything initially set up with their exams to check for preexisting conditions, its been very low maintenance. I had them to a pre review of their medical records when I first signed up so I knew what exclusions we would have. (Highly recommend so there's no surprises) During the two years, I've made three separate claims. They were all for relatively minor events ($1,300, $500, & $100). Each claim was hassle free. I scanned the invoice on the app and had my reimbursement in around 2 weeks. My most recent claim was because I woke up one day and my cats face was swollen. It's scary enough taking your pet to the vet, but then on top of that having to be afraid of the bill, or worse yet - that you can't afford the treatment. Thanks to my coverage I was able to take her to the vet knowing I could afford treatment even if a larger issue. My premium has gone up a few dollars each year. The amount I received back in claims pretty much broke even with my premiums. I've been in situations in the past where I've had to choose between going into debt or treating our pet. The peace of mind i have knowing if anything major arises we are prepared is wonderful. From our experience I don't have any negatives to add.

Easy, Fast, Friendly

It is very easy to submit the claims, and the process is completely straightforward. I am reimbursed quickly, and I have never had an issue with denied claims. I've had to call Embrace once for help with changing my coverage levels and was met with a very friendly and helpful employee who was able to get everything changed quickly. We have been nothing but happy with Embrace so far!

I would like to cancel my subscription

I would like to cancel my subscription. In 6 years of having this insurance I was finally paid out about 30% for my first insurance claim. Service was slow and payout was terrible.

Pre-existing conditions

I will be dropping this insurance and may drop USAA along with it. They don’t even have to have a diagnosis to call it a pre-existing condition. I mentioned my puppy had one soft stool at a well check visit and this became a pre-existing condition for diarrhea even though there was no diagnosis or treatment. A couple of weeks later she truly had diarrhea and they refused to pay anything on the vet visit. With that said, keep in mind when you talk to your vet about any medical issues with your dog or puppy it will go into their medical notes and can become a pre-existing condition for a new insurance.
