Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

Listen! I am a first time pet provider along with my two kids! I was unsure about purchasing but why not we have insurance for ourselves! When we had to recently file a claim the person who was assigned our case was nothing but PROFESSIONALa and took care of us every step of the way! So grateful!

I find the system Embrace uses for claims is very simple. The website is wonderful and intuitive as well. The one issue would be the length of time needed by Embrace to perfect and pay a claim and hence why I gave a 4-star rating. It took over 30 days which seems like an extended time. Other than that, all very good!

When I brought 2 1/2 year-old PB home in 2017, I immediately wanted to get pet insurance on him. Embrace insurance had good reviews and when I read their policy, I liked what they covered. I purchased their accident/illness program and their wellness program and I have never regretted it. A couple of years went by and PB developed grade II elbow dysplasia and a cervical problem. He also has a bad habit of eating anything he can get his mouth on. This has required some emergency hospitalizations. It was such a relief that affordability did not have to play a part in the decision in his treatment. Embrace insurance has covered everything that I have expected them to cover in accordance with their written policy. The claim filing process is very easy and the turnaround time for reimbursement is great. I have never had it take more than 2 to 3 weeks to get my claim resolved and money deposited and usually it’s done within a week. Their communication is great and their customer service representatives are fantastic. When I contact them by phone, they have been kind, thorough, knowledgeable, and helpful. Their wellness program is also more comprehensive than others I have investigated. The premiums do go up every year; however, older dogs can develop more problems as they age and veterinarian prices have gone up significantly in the recent years. Embrace has had my babies insured since they were 3…now they’re 9! First time I’ve had to use for illness, but it was simple to file claim, and completed in a timely manner.

Filing a claim was simple process. Unfortunately, cost of coverage is much higher than other highly rated pet insurance providers. Had to cancel as my plan jumped up 60.00 at time of renewal. Found a plan with same coverage amounts with awesome ratings for more than a 50% rate reduction.
