Claims submission was a very uncomplicated process

This was a very uncomplicated process. Not sure yet of outcome. My service dog a GSD had an extremely enlarged spleen ready to rupture. It was removed surgically with a liver sample and everything sent to a lab. His stomach also was pinned to prevent bloat and torsion which can happen after spleen removal. My baby bear is slowly recovering, but no lab results yet, so I do not know if malignancy exists. I am glad I have Embrace on my side because it was very expensive for someone now on a fixed income. I think there should be a way of uploading the vet's diagnosis and surgery which indicates what is going on.

This company has been great with me

This company has been great with me. Just when I thought it costed too much, my dog got sick and she needed over $1000 of care. My plan covers most of it and I am so grateful that Embrace was around. The help desk also helped me break down what would be covered.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
