Embrace has processed my claims efficiently which is a relief as I am dealing with an aggressive cancer in my beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog Beau. I have used Embrace for my last three dogs and I am grateful to have their service and support during heart wrenching health issues and times with my beloved dogs. I highly recommend Embrace to my friends and family. Thank you Embrace for making a very heartbreaking and stressful time, more bearable.
We've been incredibly grateful for our pet insurance. The team has consistently demonstrated exceptional support during emergencies, making a stressful situation much easier to navigate. Their prompt responses and understanding approach have been invaluable to us and our beloved pets. We highly recommend this insurance for anyone seeking reliable and compassionate care for their furry family member.
This pet insurance is not a good value for the money and the relevant terms and conditions are not readily available for the average consumer. There are significant limitations on the procedures covered and the deadlines to submit claims that one cannot identify without closely reviewing the contract. I submitted a single claim as a policy-holder and it was denied (preexisting condition). That didn't stop Embrace from unilaterally raising my monthly premium over 150% percent from my starting coverage. Embrace also applies a seemingly arbitrary geographical analysis to justify the cost of raising/fluctuating premiums. The only reason I didn't cancel sooner was because I wasn't able to actually "manage" (cancel) my policy through the online portal. I spent thousands of dollars on this invisible product and regret that I didn't spend that money directly on additional veterinary services.
I have to say that I first called them to give them feedback before writing this and there was no way they could share that with the right dept and they actually didn't seem to give a S*j@&!!! I had their insurance for almost 12 years for my elderly dog and when I called to cancel as she had passed away the way in which the call, the transferred call and ultimately my experience made me want to slam them in public! I'm not doing that but if you are looking for pet insurance I would avoid Embrace! The customer service team is desegregated so someone in sales can't help you and they pass ya around from one department to another with cold transfers which means you spend a lot of time repeating yourself. When my dog started with the policy it was reasonably priced and my the time she was 14 it was over $ 400 a month!! This is NOT the loving caring company they pretend to be and when compared to other companies like Chewy who I paid far less over the years their end of policy due to a pet dying was HORRIBLE! Just consider other companies - I strongly do NOT advocate for Embrace Pet Insurance!!!!
I am delighted to submit my honest review of my experience with Embrace Pet Insurance!
I rescued the sweetest male dog, Clooney in June 2024. I took Clooney to my vet to make sure he healthy. Dr. Eric said he was healthy. I won the genetic lottery! We bonded instantly! I had prepared for him by buying a doggy bundle of squeaky toys and toss ropes which were an immediate hit. Since I had had dogs all my life, I had prepared a crate for him as I wanted to restrict his "run of the house" until I was assured he had no accidents. After I felt comfortable that he was a good little doggy, I allowed him to sleep with me in my bed. Clooney slept peacefully, curled up beside me.
About 2 weeks after I rescued him, I awakened to find that Clooney had chewed open a child-proof plastic bottle of Aleve..there were pills scattered
on my bedroom carpet, some partially eaten. I found bloody vomit and bloody diarrhea. I immediately rushed him to VEG (Veterinary Emergency Group. Clooney was admitted on the 19th of June , put on IV, given medication through I.V. and released on June 21st.
I sent claim to Embrace insurance, attaching all invoices. Embrace told me a first claim takes longer to process so I waited. And waited. When I checked status on Embrace website, it said Clooney had vomiting and diarrhea. I was horrified. A week ago, I happened across a " "claim story" posted on Embrace Pet Insurance website entitled: Labrador Retriever Eats Ibuprophen. I was stunned! It was my story as well. I reread story. It was written by EMBRACE CLAIMS ADJUSTER. This was a conflict of interest. Why was her claim paid and mine denied? I called Embrace and asked for a claim's adjuster named Alyssa T. No such person existed. The story was fake. I read the claim story aloud over a recorded line, and emphasized that it was bogus and demanded that my claim be paid a.s.a.p.! Then the call was suddenly disconnected. An hour later, I got a call back. The person said that there had been a mistake and they were in the process of correcting the original reason for denial from vomiting and diarrhea to "toxic ingestion" or from illness (not covered) to accident (covered).
I have called Embrace several times and they have not paid my claim. The last call was Tuesday, September 10th. I was told that my bank rejected the payment because of an incorrect account number--- yet Embrace has been able to withdraw monthly payment without problem, Again, Embrace Insurance Company always has an excuse for non-payment, dropped calls, and foot dragging. The "accident claim story" represents a conflict of interest, it is bogus, and Trustpilot has yet to confront this BAD FAITH pet insurer for its misuse of their rules for commercial profit. Clooney is fine. Embrace --not so much.
Embrace acts with lightening speed to respond to my TRUST PILOT story-- but this business continues only to offer apologies for mistakes made in diagnoses, payment errors, downed lines, hurricanes. In the meantime, I am an 81 yr old lady with a disability living on social security and, because of these "mistakes", "errors" and foot-dragging on the part of Embrace Pet Insurance- (connected with GEICO) Insurance by-the way") is causing me financial problems and high interest rates on credit cards used to pay for my dog's accident. The policy coverage for accidents is two days. They have exceeded reimbursement for over 70 days. And I thought Trustpilot did NOT allow employees of reviewed insurance companies to post "stories". There is something very wrong with this picture. I'm owed $3700+ , am struggling, and all Embrace does is make excuses. If I made similar errors and excuses I'd either be fired or put out of business. Apologies do not put food on my table or pay for my medications. Again-- THEY HAVE ZERO PROBLEM DEBITING MY BANK ACCOUNT...BUT HAVE PROBLEM DEPOSITING MONEY DUE ME. Embrace Pet Insurance is not to be trusted. They should be ashamed. Today I was told it would take 15 MORE DAYS to process my refund. That's shy of 90 days for an event that was reimbursable in two days. Embrace is terrible. A complete sham. 90 Days......? They responded to this posting in MINUTES. THAT speaks volumes.Don't be fooled....I'll let you know when my claim is reimbursed...Hopefully- within my lifetime.
