Exactly What I Signed up for!
My pup had her second TPLO (a major knee surgery, and yes, a genetic issue) about a year a few months after the first surgery. ASPCA covered 90% of all fees less the $250 deductible! Not only that but I filed the claim on a Monday and received the money in my account that Friday! It was quick, easy and the service I signed up to a "T"! I have recommended them to multiple people I know with fur babies and will continue to do so!
After reading a ton of reviews (after I had already carried insurance with ASPCA for over a year) I was really nervous I would not get to utilize the insurance. Many reviews make the process sound difficult or like they actually wouldn't cover much/will fight you regardless as to the plan.
I honestly think people either have the wrong plan for what they are attempting to cover, did not read the fine print regarding covering certain conditions in certain time frames (my dog had to go 6 months without incident from the first surgery to be covered for the second) or simply did not file their claim with all the necessary documents (ie: a year of medical records, itemized bills, etc...) in a timely enough manner. This stuff is all lain out on the website so I'm not sure how someone could miss it but read it carefully!!!
This process was easy, quick and efficient. It took a TON of stress off of me to know I wasn't spending $4000 for the second time in less than 2 years on a surgery. Highly recommend!
