Making decisions

We recently had a bout of sick tummy with our cat Loki. He woke up vomiting and seemed okay. He ate through out the day but would vomit soon after. We decided it was time for an emergency visit, which can be quite costly. Thankfully we had ASPCA Pet Health insurance and we didnt have to stress over making decisions on his care, we told the doctors, do everything you need to do, you let us know if you need permission to do more. Without the insurance that 4 hr wait in the waiting room would have been filled with worry over how we would pay his bills, what we would need to sacrifice to make our baby okay. Instead we were able to focus on hoping and praying for his good health, which is all a pet parent in that situation should have to worry about. Thank you ASPCA Pet Insurance for making an awful stressful time a peace of mind in finances. We appreciate all you do. They have even called periodically through the claim and afterwards to check on Loki, as well as our other cat Princess. Thanks for making us feel like family 😻💜

This is my second dog I've had with…

This is my second dog I've had with this insurance. I wouldn't use anybody else. They pay in a reasonable amount of time and they are very fair. And the nicest people you will ever meet!

Have had only positive experiences in…

Have had only positive experiences in the over 10 years I have been with them. Claims easy to file and promptly paid. I lost my 14 year old Labradoodle to cancer. But I signed up my new little rescue. So will be using them again with her. I have used other companies without the same overall good experience.

Best Pet Insurance Company

I can't say enough nice things about how this company runs it's business. I have had other companies that fought me the entire way to process a claim and the ASPCA gets my claims, processes them, and sends me a notice that is has been received, is processing and/or finished. They NEVER have raised my rates except for the age of the dog each year (which makes sense) - the older usually means more problems. I've even gotten phone calls to say how sorry they were when one of my "fur babies" has passed away. I have recommended them to all of my friends.

Overall I like it

Overall I like it. The app is good to use and the policy is clear to view. The price is reasonable. 4 stars beacause I feel the waiting period for illness coverage is unreasonable and encouraging people to delay their vet visit after they got a new pet. I got my dog from a rescue and I got her insurance as soon as I can. We went to the vet the next business day and turned out she has a tumor needs to be removed as soon as possible. A lot of my friends said I should visit the vet until my insurance kicked in so I could avoid the $1000 vet bill. I feel the waiting period is encouraging people to delay their vet visit when they get a new pet. Not sure if human insurance has this kind of waiting period too, but I’ve never know anyone delay a doctor visit to wait for the waiting period ended.
