How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Mission Vet Clinic and Birth Control Center

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I had took my dog here for a wellness checkup as well as concerns with him licking his paws and was very disappointed with the service provided. You would think that a wellness checkup would require the doctor to feel the dog, check their ears, eyes, heart, etc to make sure that everything is okay, but that was not reciprocated. The doctor didn’t so much as touch our dog or look at his paws or really provide much input on his overall health other than saying “he’s good”. He recommended that we take our dog to a specialist. If you want quality care I would not recommend this place.

After our regular vet quoted an absurd amount to get our dog spayed, we looked into a few other places. This one is actually closer to our house and their price for spay was almost one third the price of the other vet! After picking our dog up from the surgery, she was back to her normal energetic self the next day and she never even bothered the stitches. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We wish we had heard of this place sooner! Thank you for the great care you gave our dog.

Dr Heo is awesome! My wife and I have been bringing our fur babies here for 10+ years. We drive 45 minutes because all of our animals love him.

Got my kitten neutered and the last set of his shots including rabies. The incisions were tiny and clean. No cone given but no biggie, most don't. Kitten left his site alone for the most part anyway. Like others I was surprised by no pain meds for home but my kitten acted completely normal in the following days so none needed. Grateful they put a pee pad in his crate because we had a long drive home and he tinkled. Great prices. Easy scheduling.

Mission is a great place to go with caring staff that I trust with my beloved rescues. I recommend them all the time. Vets have no openings until November around where I live. I got in within a week to get my new cat rescue in heat and a stray trying to impregnate her fixed. I ran into traffic coming from Centralia, so I was a little late, and they were alright with it. The Cats were done and out of there in 5 hours. It was the same cost as our local low-cost spay and neuter clinic. It was more with gas but I was able to pick up some great inexpensive produce at 99 Ranch, grab a lite bite at IKEA, chit chat with a Fed-X driver (tough job in Seattle traffic) and go by a favorite Nursery Store, Carpinito Brothers for flowers and local produce. It went by too fast.
