How to Save Money at Vergi 24/7
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

I can’t thank this clinic enough. This place was a blessing when I needed help the most. The staff treated me with so much compassion and urgency, making me feel safe during a very vulnerable moment. Everything was handled professionally and with care. I will always be thankful for the support I received here. Highly recommended for anyone needing immediate assistance. I have my babygirl home and she’s so much better!!! 🙏🏼❤️🩹

HOW CAN THEY FORGET HIM?? My sister and I took a sweet stray cat we named Butterscotch because he was having trouble breathing. Upon arrival we were greeted and they took him in right away which i really appreciated. It was busy so I understand waiting but after nearly an hour they said he was in oxygen and they were going to do blood work and X Rays to see what was going on. We agreed to leave, which was recommended. We asked to see him before we left and it took over an hour just to say bye for a minute. After a couple of hours, we received the bad news that he had a bunch of issues and his little body was giving up. Ultimately we decided to help him cross to kitty heaven. When we arrived we were overlooked by the staff until they finished with everyone. We understood it was busy. We were placed in a room where we had to do the hardest thing and say goodbye to such a sweet boy. 🐈 we decided to take Butterscotch back home to burry him in the back yard he called home for the time we feed him. They took his little body and asked if we wanted a box and we said yes. They told us to wait... HOW CAN THEY FORGET A DEAD CAT?? WHERE DID THEY TOSS HIM?? I CANNOT IMAGINE WHAT THEY DID TO HIM AFTER HE PASED. Just because he was a stray doesn't make him any less worthy of love and compassion. OVER 2 HOURS later my sister went to ask about Butterscotch and it seemed like the worker realized that she forgot. 2 minutes later she comes in the room apologizing. That is terrible and after going through the heartbreak to get this kind of treatment?! IT IS NOT OK

I rushed my dog, Heart, in with a bleeding left eye and lid. Vergi’s staff and doctors were incredibly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable from start to finish. During check-out, all my worries were gone — Heart looked so well, wearing her cute bandanna and going home with detailed care notes. Even though I now live farther away, I still bring my dogs here because I trust the love, care, and excellent treatment they provide. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of Heart! ❤️🐾

If you’re considering bringing your pet here, don’t. I brought my dog in for respiratory issues and paid $1,500 for X-rays and testing. I was told to go home and wait for a call. They called at 1am. I missed it. and when I called back at 5am, I was told he was ready for pickup and “good to go” with meds for an infection. Sounds responsible, right? Out of curiosity, I read his X-ray report myself. Apparently that’s my job now. The report clearly stated he had an OPEN SAFETY PIN in his stomach. That’s not a minor detail. That’s not a “whoops.” That’s a sharp metal object inside an animal. So I called them back. They had absolutely no idea what I was talking about. I was put on hold while they reviewed the X-rays . The same X-rays I paid $1,500 for and only then did they realize, yes, he did in fact have an open safety pin sitting in his stomach. And they discharged him anyway. Their explanation? The doctor who saw him had already left and “couldn’t speak on it.” Apparently no one else in the building thought to read the report before sending a dog home with a sharp object inside him. I’m not sure what’s more concerning, the negligence or the complete lack of communication. The fact that I had to discover this myself instead of being informed at pickup is unbelievable. “Oh yeah, he’s fine. Just an infection. Ignore the open safety pin.” This isn’t a small oversight. This is basic competence. If I hadn’t read that report, what would’ve happened? Do better. And if you value your pet’s safety, think twice before bringing them here. I’ll be filing a complaint.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. My dog of almost 15 years needed to be put to sleep after several serious fainting episodes due to CHF. I was a mess and crying over the phone as I knew it was time. the compassion that was shown to me and understanding was phenomenal. In person was even more compassion and care. The staff were super empathetic and sympathetic and clearly have a love for animals as well as for their owners. As hard as this was Vergi Animal Hospital helped us get through this tough time. Getting his ashes back back as also beautiful. He came home in a beautiful urn and yet again more compassion shown. I could not recommend this place enough.
