Preventive care

Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance

After leaving my vet of more than 30 years due to ownership change of hands 3 times now and now being corporate owned, which has ruined them I hate to say....I was hesitant of changing vets. I currently have 2 dogs and 2 cats. My first appointment to register one of my dogs went without a hitch today. She was due for her annual parasite screening along with her heartworm test & needed an anal expression. They handled everything perfectly. I even got the results same day while we were there. The final bill was reasonable. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. And Dr. Norton was warm and knowledgeable. I still have 3 more pets/babies to register, but so far I feel confident and stress free about deciding to switch to Falson Pass Animal Hospital. Also, one of the doctors is the owner. That is so reassuring. When you own the practice, you tend to take better care of it, your staff and your patients. So far, it shows ;). Thank you FPAH!

I adore and trust Dr. Sunderland. She always takes great care of my fur babies and is very thorough at explaining things to my husband and I. She’s helped my older pitbull through two tumor removals and I will be forever grateful to her. Dr. Norton is also great - she’s only treated my shepherd pup but she was very patient with him as he’s slow to warm up and read his cues well. She also gave us great advice on trainers in the area. The front staff and techs are always warm and welcoming too. Truly could not ask for a better team of people to care for my babies.

Absolutely incredible and so welcoming. 😭 we have had the most emotional week being in Texas from out of town for an extra extended stay that we weren’t anticipating and ended up with our dog sick. It was the cherry on top to the hardest few weeks we’ve had. They treated us like family and our dog got top tier care. I’m so happy to report he is finally doing so much better thanks to these guys!! We’re forever grateful.

I can’t thank Dr. Sunderland and the team at Falcon Pass Animal Hospital enough for the incredible care they’ve given to two of my cats. One of them is a senior I was finally able to trap after years of living on the streets. He came to me with a long list of health problems—severe arthritis, dental disease, bad URI, inflamed gums, and more. Dr. Sunderland has been so patient, compassionate, and thorough in helping us manage his complex care. His healing journey is still ongoing, but thanks to Dr. Sunderland’s spot-on diagnosis and thoughtful treatment plan, he's finally on track to living the quality life he deserves after all he’s been through. My other baby is a younger boy that I found almost two years ago. Since he was a kitten, he had been suffering from chronic diarrhea that several other vets failed to properly investigate or diagnose. Dr. Sunderland took the time to dig deeper, run comprehensive tests, and finally figure out the root cause. Because of her, he’s now thriving and finally comfortable for the first time in a long while. I love my cats deeply, and seeing them play, improve, and regain their health brings me so much happiness. It's such a relief to have a vet I can trust with their well-being. I'm incredibly grateful for the expertise, honesty, and kindness we've experienced at Falcon Pass—Dr. Sunderland truly goes above and beyond. She truly listened, took every concern seriously, and didn’t miss a thing. Nothing was brushed off—she made sure to investigate each issue thoroughly and provide clear answers. That’s exactly why I was more than willing to drive an hour and a half to bring my cats to her. I knew that by the time I got back home, there’d be no guessing, no Googling—just peace of mind, knowing everything had been carefully examined and addressed. And as an added bonus, the cost of the procedures for my senior cat was nearly half of what I expected. That kind of fairness and transparency is rare. I highly recommend Falcon Pass Animal Hospital to anyone looking for real answers and genuine care for their pets.

Nice & sincere vets, but the receptionist who answers the phone is always hit or miss. I called today (12/22) with concerns of my elderly labrador suffering with diarrhea and panting for the past 48-hours. I’m currently out of town & making flight arrangements to return home ASAP. In the mean time, I was hoping the clinic could provide medication to my neighbor to alleviate the diarrhea until I’m home. The front desk employee told me that an appointment is required before any medication is provided. I understand an appointment is needed to know the main cause of continuous diarrhea, but there’s absolutely nothing that can be done in the meantime? …The only solution is for my dog to continuously suffer and become dehydrated? I wish the front desk employee could have attempted with a temporary solution until I’m back in town. * UPDATE: my sitter purchased [ Pro-Pectalin ] and it helped my dog through the night.
