How to Save Money at Echo Lane Animal Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

The team has a way of putting you at ease when you are worried and anxious. They are professional and look at situations from different angles to get the best outcomes. My dog Buckshot loves all the girls there and is always happy to go with them when we visit. Love this team 💕

I have been taking my dog to this clinic for years, and my family has as well, which makes this experience especially disappointing. I brought my dog in for lethargy, and she was given a pain medication injection. Before the injection, I explicitly warned the staff that she has had bad reactions to injections in the past. Despite this, there was no observation or waiting period after administering the medication. Within 45 minutes of leaving the clinic, my dog went into critical distress, including severe respiratory issues. Because the office was already closed, I had no choice but to rush her to an emergency animal hospital, where she was immediately placed on oxygen and treated for a severe medication reaction. This situation was terrifying and resulted in hundreds of dollars in unexpected emergency care. When I later called the original clinic to inform them of what happened, no responsibility was taken, and the response from management was extremely dismissive. This was the first time I have ever asked for any sort of refund or accountability, and not once did the manager ask if my dog was okay. I understand that adverse reactions can happen, but dismissing a known risk, failing to monitor after an injection, and showing no concern afterward is unacceptable. I am deeply disappointed and no longer feel confident trusting this clinic with my dog’s care

Dr Ong and the rest of the crew at Echo lane, especially Leslie, Audri, and Nicole are absolutely incredible. They’ve taken care of my cat, Gemini, with a heart condition with so much compassion and my other 5 cats as well. I’ve been coming here since they were kittens about 4 years ago and love it. I won’t take them anywhere else. It’s not an exclusively cat vet, but it almost feels that way and my cats feel really comfortable here. The lobby is quiet, it’s clean, and there’s no chaos stressing my cats out. I call them all the time asking paranoid questions about my cat’s health and they’re always so patient and understanding with me. I would highly recommend you trust them with your pets too. It comes across that they really do care and it means a lot!

Today was Bruno's first day here at echo Lane animal clinic. I would say that technician Ruth did an amazing job and was very helpful and informative on everything. Dr Deese did such an amazing job and made us feel like we were family there. She spoke upon past recurrences and other situations that might compare to my dogs and it was definitely an eye-opener. I will definitely be bringing my dog back here and I would recommend this place to all my friends and family for their pets. Thank you again guys !!!!! 🐾 🐕🤍🐕🐾🤍🐕🐾🤍🐕🐾🤍

i can’t recommend this clinic enough. The Dr. and his staff is absolutely amazing with our dogs, he is very knowledgeable and great to interact with. any time we’ve had any questions or concerns they address them promptly and make sure we are taken care of. the last vet we had gone to was a horrible experience, so finding this one was a dream come true. they treat the animals so well and make my dogs appointments so easy.
