Where to begin. My soul dog, Lucky, was diagnosed with splenic lymphoma and was rushed into immediate surgery the day after Christmas 2023. Two months later she rapidly declined and I called Dr. Jessica for options. She said whenever I was ready we can schedule. We handled the payment and paperwork before she arrived so we could focus solely on Lucky that day. I remember that day so vividly. We took Lucky to the dog park that morning for a ride and maybe a walk to try to lift her spirits. She couldn’t get more than 3 steps in before she would have to lay down to rest. Then she spent the rest of the morning sunbathing on our front yard watching cars drive by. In the afternoon, when Dr. Jessica arrived and walked in to our house, Lucky had a pep in her step when greeting her as if to say, finally you arrived, let’s do this. Lucky went to her elevated bed and laid down as if knowing what was about to happen. It was the saddest day of my life, but Dr. Jessica was so kind, gentle, and empathetic. She allowed us as much time as we needed with Lucky before and after and explained what was going to happen with each step. I was so concerned after and Dr. Jessica assured me she would be handled with the best and most respectful care. She updated me when Lucky was picked up for cremation and coordinated with the cremation company. I have 3 more senior dogs in my care and when their time comes, Dr. Jessica will be the first person I call.

Dr. Jessica was referred to us right before Christmas in 2023, as our beloved dog, Easton, was suffering from cancer. She came to our home and carefully explained the process to us. She gave us as much time as we needed to say goodbye, then gently assisted him across the Rainbow Bridge, while we surrounded and held him in the comfort of our home. Dr. Jessica showed us tremendous patience, compassion, and professionalism during a difficult time for our family. We highly recommend her and the unique service she provides.

Caring Hands carried us through the entire process with kindness and understanding. We never felt rushed and we never felt like we weren’t doing the right thing. They were comforting. The little memorials we have from them are beautiful and allow us moments to remember with something tangible. I have recommended them to someone going through the same thing and was told that they were exactly the same with them as well. One day I will need them again and I will not hesitate to call.

Dr. Jessica was incredible during a really hard moment for our family, the passing of our dear puppy. She was compassionate, patient, and deeply caring, making sure our puppy was comfortable, at peace, and never in pain while giving us all the time we needed to say goodbye. She was also incredibly flexible with scheduling when unexpected family issues arose, came to our home in the evening despite a long drive, and handled the cremation arrangements. We will always be grateful for her kindness and care during such a difficult time.

Dr. Jessica is the most caring and empathetic person at a time when she was sorely needed. She took time; as long as we needed for everyone in the family to say their goodbys. She gently picked up our deceased Tess and gently took her away. I would recommend (and I already have) Caring Hands to everyone who is faced with the horrible task of euthanizing your family pet. We are confident we made the right decision for Tess at the right time.
