How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Pleasantburg Veterinary Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Our dog had a mass that had not bothered her for at least a year, and then one week it doubled in size. We took her in, and I was embarrassed at the state of this mass. We were met with only love and no judgement. Everyone loved our girl. She ended up having to have surgery. It was a lot less than other places we had called, and she had excellent care, with a free follow up visit. I would recommend this vet to anyone and everyone!

We established care with our 2 dogs about a year ago after moving to this general area of town. We had dental care and routine shots/exam completed. I was very pleased with their services. About 2 months ago we had a very sick cat and I tried contacting them several times over around a weeks period by phone and also left a message. No one ever answered or called me back. I ended up taking our cat to another vet who got her in same day when I called.

I wanted to update my review to add that I can't say enough about just how beautifully our vet handled my sweet Arya in her final moments. They went above and beyond to preserve her remains in such a lovely box with her name on it. My heart is absolutely broken. But I have found great comfort through the kindness and compassion of everyone here. Thank you. ❤️

This vet office is amazing in ways that you have no idea. They helped me more than they know especially at this time of year. I will never forget the kindness they have shown me and will always come back because of it. I highly recommend this veterinarian office. Hands down.

Pleasantburg was a fine vet for any normal check-up's with my golden retriever, however, I am beyond disappointed in the customer care and service they have provided, and this has been a consistent issue. It appears they have finally fixed their phone line problem (it is no longer constantly busy/go straight to voicemail) but I unfortunately lost my dog a month ago, and let Pleasantburg know immediately that she had passed suddenly due to cancer (she was a 4 year old golden retriever so it was very unexpected and I am still struggling with grieving over this a month later). Since she has passed, Pleasantburg has called and emailed me MULTIPLE times about appointment, vaccinations, and medication reminders for my dog even after I have told them multiple times that she has passed. Clearly, no one is making note of this in their system and no one cares to turn off the automatic reminders. This is extremely careless and not thoughtful towards someone who is grieving over the loss of their pet. I am extremely disappointed and will certainly never return to Pleasantburg Vet again for my next pet. They need to do better than this.
