How to Save Money at Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers - Greenville, SC
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
Hermangiosarcoma isn’t a word you ever want to hear. Especially when you are 3,000 miles away and your baby needs emergency surgery immediately. I was hesitant when my vet recommended Fetch. I have experience with another emergency vet that has been around much longer. I mistakenly associated longevity with being “better.” I have been through this before with another baby 2 years ago and the experience I’m having with Fetch is night and day. Some vets seem to enter work mode around animals, but not this one. They genuinely love and care for all the babies. Every single person I have interacted with has been so kind, patient, and over the top with care & customer service. They are constantly going out of their way to answer my questions, send updates, and think outside the box for solutions. My kind of people! While my time with Mia may be short, I would not have had this extra time with her if it weren’t for this team. I will never go anywhere else. Thank you to every single team member for loving our girl and helping us through this process.

I came home on Friday from a week out of town to an injured cat. There was no option of waiting till Monday to have him seen. I had bad experiences at the other two emergency vets in town and a friend recommended Fetch. The difference between their office and the other two was night and day. The facility is brand new, spotlessly, clean, and every member of their staff was overwhelmingly kind. Each staff member went above and beyond to make sure Milo and I were comfortable. They kept me updated on the procedures they were performing and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. Dr Hunter was very knowledgeable and supportive and offered options for treatment. Milo has more healing to do, but he is on the right road thanks to Fetch. I highly recommend! 10/10.

This is the 2nd time I took my pet to Fetch. I have a great experience of how much the doctor care about my dog. This time, thank you for Dr Luke Wilson explained the diagnosed to me and my dog has probably neurological issue. And he quickly referred my dog to the specialist. Also, the vet tech Naomi Broth is awesome care my baby. Thanks again.

Our first experience taking our dog to Fetch was way better than expected. First impression walking in was one of the staff who just happened to be outside, she was so nice & helped us get in the door. Walking in we were greeted and taken to a room within 5 mins. Everything smelled fresh and was clean. Maggie was examined and the team came back with very specific details and next steps. The whole process made me feel comfortable with the unknown of Maggie’s arm. Thank you Danielle & Caitlin, and the rest of the crew for loving on Maggie & taking such good care.

On 6/8/2024, our Boston Emma was attacked, I want to express my thanks to the Fetch hospital in Greenville, they cared for her and kept us well informed. They worked with my because my bank would not allow me to move but so much money at a time. They were so kind and compassionate, even though we could not save our Emma, they were so nice to us and allowed all of the kids to be with her. Again thank you for all you did and will do. I highly recommend these sweet people.
