How to Save Money at Stone Church Animal Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

I genuinely can't say enough good things about this clinic and how well the staff treat you and your pet. Back when we first got our pup, Theo, we took him here based on word of mouth recommendation, and it's now been about 2 years. I have never had anything but a positive experience and would recommend this clinic a thousand times over. After our dog was neutered, he became anxious about being at the vet, and that was brand new as he had never exhibited any kind of anxiety going there prior. The staff have been nothing but compassionate and understanding and helpful - offering for him to come in for treats and to just say hi to create a positive space, as well as taking their time with him and his needs. In addition, they are always happy to answer any questions or concerns we have. You can really tell they all genuinely care about the well-being of the animals that they treat, and they want to see them thrive. I always leave their clinic feeling grateful - they truly go above and beyond.

I completely recommend this clinic. Their prices are very reasonable and hours of operation are perfect and weekend appointments make it easier to attend after my work hours. The best part of this clinic is their staff so friendly and compassionate . I was impressed with all the care they provided for my Charlie boy. I am so very thankful for their care.

I always take my dog Rocco here as they seem to really get to know him, understand his needs, and treat him well. Most recently, we were in for an ultrasound, surgery to remove a cyst, and senior check-up and we had no concerns with the process. They can be a tad bit expensive comparatively, but I suppose you get what you pay for. I'm happy with them overall.

We took our dogs to Stonechurch animal clinic for many many years. Very happy with the treatments and staffs. Dr. Harxhi is so kind and really care about our dogs. Unfortunately we have to move away from the area and it’s a bit far to stay with the clinic. Highly recommended and if it wasn’t for the move we will definitely stay with them. Thank you Dr. Harxhi and the staffs at the clinic. We love you ~ Lilo and Kiki Stamenkovic

I certainly can’t recommend this amazing vet clinic enough. All of the staff are so kind, helpful and welcoming and always take the time to answer all of my questions. My dog was having some back issues and they were able to help provide us treatments and referrals to specialists very quickly to get to the root of the problem. I really appreciate Dr. Nathan who is the vet assigned to my dogs as he takes the time to explain everything, makes sure you leave there understanding everything, and never rushes us when we have questions. My dogs really like all of the staff there. Everyone there that we have encountered has been so kind and we are certainly happy we made the switch to bring our dogs to this clinic. Our dog has a surgery next week and I will certainly know that he is in great hands 🙂
