How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Gardenbrooke Veterinary Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Great first time visit. The secretary is super friendly, patient and actually does what she promises to do. I've had run ins with vet admins before, and she has the been pleasant to work with. Vet was also nice and caring. Although it was a quick visit, I could tell he cared because he spoke to my dog in soft tones.

Last month, during a barbecue, my dog ingested some grease and a pice of bone leading to a frightening ordeal. Despite promptly seeking help from our regular vet clinic, they misdiagnosed the situation, mistaking a bone in the esophagus for a lung issue. Their treatment not only failed to help but worsened our pet's condition. It was only after seeking a second opinion elsewhere that the true problem was identified: a bone lodged in the esophagus, a life-threatening situation. The initial clinic's negligence nearly cost our pet's life. Their disregard for proper care and focus solely on financial gain is alarming. Despite only receiving partial reimbursement, I feel compelled to share this warning to prevent others from facing similar risks. They don’t care about the dog they just care about money!!!
