How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Hyde Park Veterinary Clinic
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

They are so sweet to my girl. She's a foster fail, and has issues with new people (she was abused in her prior life😢). They treat her so kindly, and are able to calm her down. Great staff! Won't go anywhere else.

If you have a healthy dog and just need your yearly check up this place is great. The staff is friendly and the space is welcoming. To me that is not enough for what a veterinary clinic should offer and Hyde Park failed our loving senior dog. We moved to the area and decided with her old age we needed a vet who was closer. We got her regular checkup and thought this place would be great for her. This was a huge mistake. Hyde Park has their hours posted. We came back from vacation during their business hours and when we picked up our dog something was wrong. We called over and over and they were “closed”. It was not a holiday or during any hours they should have been closed. No explanation. We found out from another vet she had an infection. On another occasion we called on a Saturday during their business hours and asked about some medical issues our dog was having and to see if we could bring her in to make sure it wasn’t serious. When I called they told me their on call veterinarian was not equipped to help us because they were new. We had to take her to another vet again. We had another occasion when our dog had an ear infection. She got these regularly and it’s a fairly typical process to get it cleaned or get medicine if needed. When we called it was a 3+ week wait for them to be able to see her. Another case we had to take her somewhere else. The few times we went for a regular checkup went fine. But time and time again they failed our sweet pup. Emergency care is listed on their website and we never imagined to have such a hard time getting any care for her.

Hyde Park Veterinary clinic got my cat in the same day when she was showing some abnormal behaviors that were concerning but really didn’t seem emergent. Everyone was very kind and really seemed to care. They also print everything out on an invoice before rendering any tests or meds and tell you the priority of each one. I cannot recommend this office enough.
