How to Save Money at Angel's Paws
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

The world needs more people like the fabulous folks over at Angel's Paws. They were nothing short of phenomenal in every step of the process, some of the hardest times any of us will ever face, and yet they helped ease the pain for me. Everything about this place just felt right and I'm so happy I entrusted my sweet baby with them, I highly recommend you do to. The chapel is a great final send off and sense of closure that really helped me say a final goodbye. Not to mention the Lego memorial is just downright cool. The few people I did encounter from Angel's Paws were nothing short of outstanding and I'm utterly convinced they were Angels themselves. I wanna thank you girls for everything, I truly appreciate you, and Millie Girl does too! 1000/10 can't recommend this place enough.

Came on short notice and even moved up the appointment to accommodate my dogs worsening health. The office and nurse were very sympathetic. The nurse treated my boy with respect and helped me send him off. While it doesn’t fix the pain, it was nice to have their help. I’d recommend them to anyone else in the area. I’m ordering some memorial items so I will update with those pictures when they arrive. *update* the memorial items are nice. Some of the photos needed to be trimmed to fit the frames better. But the photo urn is nice and a good build quality. Glad for all we got.

I can’t remember the last time I did a Google review, but I couldn’t be happier with Angel’s paws. I had a roommate pick this place and bring my cat Bob here for me, for him to be cremated after his sudden passing. I was heart broken and couldn’t do it myself. I asked for a paw print. I wanted a piece of fur too, but didn’t ask. Well , they gave it and picked the most beautiful colors to show off my sweet Bob’s beautiful fur. The box was beautiful too. These people care! Thank you to the staff at Angel’s paws so much for your loving touch in a hard time. This place is amazing. If I ever need pet care in the future, I am coming here.

I had my baby for 18 years. All her life she hated going to the vet. I knew I couldn’t let that be her final memory. Angel’s Paws was recommended to me, and I couldn’t be more grateful. From the initial phone call to picking up my sweetest girl, the staff showed both great care and empathy. Their pricing is completely transparent and reasonable. I want to especially thank Dr. Kate, who came to our home and helped Squirt cross the rainbow bridge. She was caring, comforting, and gentle. She allowed me to take my time and ensure Squirt’s final memory was being snuggled up in bed with her mama while taking a nap. I can’t thank you all enough for making an impossible decision less painful. With sincerest gratitude. ~Squirt’s mama

Yesterday I had to make the decision to lay my cat chip to rest. I decided on angels paws because I loved the idea of him being able to pass peacefully where he is comfortable. From everyone I spoke with on the phone to the veterinarian who came to my home, everyone was beyond amazing and compassionate and professional. You can tell they genuinely care and take great care of your fur babies when it is their time. They also offer so much support for the pets owners. All around an amazing company and I know my chip was so at peace with them. If I ever have to go through something like this again I will absolutely be using angels paws.
