How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Cincinnati Veterinary Surgical & Wellness Center

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I can not say enough words for the compassion this practice has. I fostered then foster failed a very senior dog at Christmas. She had an emergency health issue and the most humane thing to do was euthanize her, and wouldn’t have survived surgery. I called and they got my Lola right in, took us right back and were so wonderful during the whole process. It was a sad day but they made it easier. She was very loved and will be missed, thank you all.

Dr. Faircloth and staff are great. They treat Jay with kindness and compassion. He is over 11 and has arthritis. Highly recommend Cincinnati Veterinary Surgical & Wellness Center.

I have always recommended and will continue to recommend Dr. Meakin. I have taken my ferrets to him for the last 7-8 years and he has been able to give me more time with them or help decide when it was time for them to go. Today was the most recent trip, I was sure I’d be leaving without my (almost) 9 year old girl but I think I am going to get some more time with her. I loved all my ferrets but this girl has always been my number one so it will crush me when it’s time for her to go. I attribute her long life to Dr. Dan and his care and expertise.

I am so pleased with Cincinnati Veterinary & Wellness . The staff is great, the vets are even greater. I am so happy I found them. If you are looking for a vet, you can't go wrong with this office. They are worth more than 5 stars!!! My Darby agrees.

I have a new dog, Jesse, who came from a rescue. Dr. Meakin and his team were thorough and careful in the exam, as always. (This is the fourth dog I have had under their care over the past 10-plus years.) They answered a multitude of questions, and I know I can trust their advice and care.
