This place honestly saved the day for me. After a situation with a feral mama cat, the people here at Poughkeepsie animal wellness were the only ones willing to help me get her fixed. They were so sweet to me over the phone, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and got me an appointment for her within a week. Anywhere else I called were either backed up for months, or wouldn’t help me at all. The people here knew I didn’t have that kind of time to wait. They fixed mama up with her spaying, a rabies shot and flea removal for such a reasonable price. The facility is clean as could be, extremely helpful, kind, and kept me updated on how she was doing when she was all fixed up and was able to keep her safe till I could make it back to pick her up. Extremely grateful for this place and its staff. They saved me and mama from a very stressful situation.10/10

Poughkeepsie Animal Wellness went above and beyond to help me with my cat. Their kindness, openness to answer any and all questions, and flexibility with scheduling ensured the best care possible for her. I am so grateful and appreciative of this animal hospital, especially Tommy, and recommend them to any and all! I will absolutely be using them again.

I have never met a more professional, loving, caring veterinarian and staff. The compassion and understanding and knowledge is so greatly appreciated. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all you have done for my furbaby Ember & so grateful. She’s still on the road to recovery ❤️🩹 and I see her coming back to herself again! Our poor kitty was sick with a blockage. We were going to another local vet, and I will spare the details, but my experience was less than ideal. Kitty was on her deathbed when we found Poughkeepsie Animal Wellness. They got her in the same evening I called, found a blockage in her stomach immediately, and did emergency surgery right then and there. Manny, the vet tech, made us feel so comfortable. I genuinely felt like he cared for her like we do. That made my anxiety of leaving her there overnight for a few days lessen significantly. I pestered the front desk every morning and every night during her stay to check on her, and they kindly went back and gave her some love and came back to the phone with a report on her wellbeing. Kitty is doing better than ever, and I will fully trust this place with her life whenever it is needed.
