How to Save Money at Happy Paws Pet Hospital - Affordable Vet Clinic Las Vegas
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

We had a wonderful experience at Happy Paws Pet Hospital. My sister’s dog, Lola, had to undergo emergency surgery for pyometra, and the entire staff went above and beyond. They were incredibly attentive to her needs, took excellent care of her before, during, and after surgery, and made sure we felt informed and comfortable every step of the way. Their compassion and professionalism really stood out. We’re so grateful for the care they gave Lola — she’s recovering well, and we owe it to the amazing team at Happy Paws!

Great service and prices My dog needed her teeth cleaned so I brought her to Happy Paws. Dr. Amoon is very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all my questions. The facility is clean and new and the extra-large display screen in the exam room was great for seeing results. The staff is friendly and professional — plus they took extra time to comfort and soothe my very big dog who is always scared when waking up from anesthesia. Overall, the prices are extremely fair and the service is excellent. And it feels good to support a family business. Highly recommend.

Our beautiful dog of 13 years was diagnosed with Megaloesophagus. We took her here for a check-up and for follow up appointments bc of the reviews. (I was a little skeptical at first) The vet here is incredible!! The doctor made sure to listen to our concerns and explained everything carefully. The team/front desk was also amazing even as I was having a complete breakdown over the phone over my dog's sudden decline later that weekend. They managed to fit us in immediately so the vet could quickly see her and administer fluids and anti-nausea meds in between his surgeries. Our dog passed on now, but the staff made sure to keep our dog's paw print for MONTHS (we lost her in October 2024) and I couldn't bear to pick up her small memorial items until today. I thought they had thrown it away, but they actually kept it for our family until we were ready to pick it up. I felt awful for making them keep it for us for so long, but the guy who handed it off to me was so kind and understanding of our pain. Just extremely stellar people at this animal hospital. They were upfront about all costs and services, no surprise fees and they gave us alternatives without any judgement. I highly recommend this place. They really do care about your pet.

Happy Paws is amazing. We had been going to another vet for 9 years and switched when we moved. I wish I would have found this vet sooner. We were in and out quickly and the Vet handled our fur baby as if she was his own. They also have great financing options for those who need it. We will be taking all 3 of our dogs here from now on! I also love that it's a family run business that gives you that personal feel. If your fur baby is sick or needs shots I would highly recommend Happy Paws

I brought my 1 year old cat in for a walk-in check-up and vaccinations. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming. The clinic was very clean and smelled fresh, which isn’t always the case with vet offices. Dr. Inayat was incredibly gentle with my cat and took the time to explain each step of the process. He also answered all my questions without rushing and help made it understanding. The appointment started right on time and the check-up went fast and smoothly. What really impressed me was how much they cared about making my cat feel safe and comfortable. By for the best experience I have had. Highly recommend this clinic for anyone looking for compassionate and professional care.
