How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Foxmoor Veterinary Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I took Sammy to Foxmoor a few weeks ago because he had some issues. Let me tell you, the staff there were incredibly friendly and really helped me keep Sammy under control. He was pretty excited, and I was concerned about him possibly biting someone as he had done elsewhere. But the staff were very patient and understanding when working with him. Dr. Feldman was great. She took the time to explain the steps they would take during the process and even shared some insights into what might be causing Sammy's problems. Throughout the whole thing, Sammy was fantastic, and they had no trouble with him at all. I was honestly quite shocked! Afterward, the doctor came out and explained what they had discovered, prescribing some medication to resolve the issues they found hopefully. I've been to several clinics over the years but have yet to find one that felt as personalized and attentive as Foxmoor. It was like they treated Sammy as if he was their only patient. Since our visit, Sammy seems like a completely different dog, and I'm genuinely looking forward to a long-term relationship with Foxmoor. Finding a place that takes such good care of him and makes us feel so welcome is refreshing. David

Update on 5-star review from last year: go here if you crave the emotional toxicity of your worst Ex because that’s what you’ll be greeted with at the front desk. The mismanager there (name: karen) is combative and literally abusive to humans, thank goodness she doesn’t deal directly with pets but she still compromises their care by her inability or unwillingness to read their own in-house vet reports. Then when you approach her about one of these many issues (or the shady out-of-state prescription company they now partner with) she gaslights you and blows up, blaming you instead of demonstrating any accountability. It’s a waste of time, energy, patience and money and to such an alarming degree it’d be laughable if it weren’t so consequential. I’m taking my 2 cats to oswego vet (Dr Sullivan was our fav and he left here too) and my mom is switching her cat and 2 dogs there as well. Looking at other reviews here and the passive-aggressive (or just aggressive!) responses wherein Karen never apologizes for anything nor takes any responsibility, it’s little wonder Foxmoor went from a 5-star review just last year to losing 5 more clients between just me and the 1 person I previously recommended here years ago. But it’s not just me cause others have abandoned this place like the sinking ship it is so at least if you must go here, you’ll have no trouble getting an appointment. Maybe the 1 vet that remains is competent and compassionate but you’d never know that from the front desk person who is literally a customer repellent by harassing and verbally abusing the customers….Not sustainable business practices to say the least. Used to love this place but it’s now just a perfect candidate for a case study in how to drive a business right off a proverbial cliff. They fail to provide answers instead gaslighting and abusing you, and avoiding phone calls. She’s more likely to take the time to construct a super defensive combative reply to this where she blames us all while throwing up some false self gratifying claims of what an upstanding person she is and what unparalleled business they provide. We’re so done here, my 2 cats and my moms dogs are taking their many years of future business $$$ elsewhere.

Absolutely love the Doctors and Staff here! I love the family feel I get from Foxmoor! They are all so thorough and knowledgeable from the receptionist to the techs and Doctors. I can ask all the questions and they answer every single one without hesitation. My Fur Babies love coming in. My Westie gets really anxious for grooming but the groomer, Keely, always makes her feel so comfortable and ensures that she is in a safe place. My other dog is a rescue and he loves seeing the staff, they always make him feel so special and spoiled with attention. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Feldman and Dr. D Jacobsen to anyone, I trust they have my Fur Babies best interest in mind and treat them as their own. :)

I took our two dogs in for their annual checkup & vaccines & the female vet took each dog individually out of the exam room to perform the checkups in the back. BIG RED FLAG! I now know to never let a vet do that again. I have no idea what was supposedly checked, but they must not have checked the one dogs eyes because she had cataracts & they never mentioned it! Previously, a male vet was to have performed an annual check up on one of our cats & he never even looked in her ears! This clinic does not hire good, caring vets to take care of peoples' fur babies. They should be ashamed.

This clinic does a great job with caring for our Goberian, Bailey. They handle her gently and always offer suggestions and recommendations. I also appreciate the courtesy reminder text when it’s time for health check ups or grooming.
