How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Animal Wellness Center

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I cannot speak more highly of this office from the wonderful receptionist Jeanie to the amazing staff and dr. Simmons in the back. We just moved from NC and I was very worried to take my boxer in to see someone new due to his fear aggression. Both Collin and dr Simmons took the time and patience to make my baby feel calm. I was so very pleased with our treatment and will forever be thankful we have found a new vet home.

Otis (our Frenchie) loves this place. He's always treated well and the staff loves him. Thank you for taking care of him.

Unfortunately had to leave this vet due to rude workers but more importantly the vet misdiagnosed eye problems. Our 1 year old cat had a spot in her eye that was discolored. Dr Simmons gave her eye drops and said to come back in 2 weeks. On return visit no change and he said stop eye drops she’s all good. We weren’t convinced since nothing had changed. So we took her to an ophthalmologist. She had very high eye pressure which require specific drops to bring down the pressure or she’ll get glaucoma and could go blind. The eye spot needs to be monitored to make sure it doesn’t turn into cancer. So glad she’s getting good care now and glad that we left this practice.

Dr. Simmons has treated all of our dogs, and now our cat, with compassion and excellent veterinary care for close to 15 years. I would recommend anyone establish care with Animal Wellness Center if you have a dog or cat.

Dr. Simmons has done a great job with our dogs and they are not trying to escape the vets office like they typically do at other vets they have seen and are very relaxed here. Definitely wish that we were not moving out of the area in a few months( 5 months ) Since they like the staff here and they are big flirts.
