How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Coral Ridge Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Please note: For the safety of our family our name listed is not the same name we had our appointment under. We do not want to have any retaliation from this staff based on our honest review. (They have all of our personal records and home address) Our experience with Dr. Gordon was extremely disappointing and left us with serious concerns about the quality of care. Dr. Gordon refused to come into the exam room to speak with us directly about our dog, so all communication went through the staff. That makes it easy for important information to get lost, especially when there doesn't seem to be a good understanding of a patient's history. The most concerning part was that our dog had an issue with one eye, but the wrong eye was treated. On a different visit, the same thing happened with his ear. These weren't minor communication issues—they were treatment mistakes. When we later brought these issues up, it felt like no one knew what we were talking about, almost as if our previous visits never happened. That made us question how records are maintained and whether patient histories are actually being reviewed before treatment. Every visit also seemed to involve pressure to purchase additional services, and the bills routinely ended up being several hundred dollars despite our dog being relatively healthy. We sincerely hope the practice improves its communication, record-keeping, and attention to detail. Based on our experience, we can no longer trust the care being provided, and we would not feel comfortable bringing our dog back.

I’m really grateful for Dr. Arch Gordon and the team at Coral Ridge Animal Hospital. We had a fire in our apartment and my two dogs, Trooper and Bowser, were inside and inhaled smoke. Dr. Gordon saw them first thing the next morning and was thorough. He did X-rays for Trooper, checked Bowser, and got them the meds they needed to recover. The staff showed a lot of compassion. Since we’re displaced and don't have a tub to get the smoke smell off the dogs, they even helped me find a place to get them cleaned up. They did more than just treat my dogs. They really stepped up for us during a total disaster. If you want a vet that genuinely cares and goes above and beyond, this is the place. I highly recommend them.

I just switched to Coral Ridge Animal Hospital and I’m so happy I did. They really genuinely care about your pet. The vet even called me a week later to check on how my dog was doing. They are awesome!

This is our sweet girl Pebbles. Thanks to Dr. Archie and his amazing staff we adopted her through Blue Waters Dog Rescue. She weighed 9lbs when she was first brought in last August and today she is 33lbs (first photo is when she was first brought to Coral Ridge Animal Hospital, the second is after being spayed there and the third is a recent photo). The abuse this poor girl went through before she was rescued, Dr. Archie and his staff had to nurse her back to health before we were able to bring her home. Because Pebbles was so comfortable with Dr. Archie and his staff we opted to have her spayed there. It was a smooth process and she did great. When we take Pebbles for her follow ups she basically drags us to the front door and is so excited to give everyone lots of love! She definitely remembers all they did to save her life! Thank you all for love and care you have shown our baby girl!

I saw a recent comment of a guy named Jim who was not happy with Dr. Gordon because he doesn’t come to the room or wheeled to the room exam etc etc. I don’t have a problem with that, maybe he doesn’t want to catch other people germs lol who knows, I dont blame him. So far Dr. Gordon has been very knowledgeable and efficient with my dog issues. I have a hairless dog (Peruvian Inca Orchid) named Kalato and he can be grumpy lol well, I usually get judge for his behavior but not at Dr. Gordon office. My dog is just grumpy and they know how to deal with him they even cut his nails at no charge for me because my dog hates getting his nails cut. My baby also has issues with his delicate paws and i even took him to an emergency hospital one Sunday when their office was closed and i spent so much money and they didn't even cure his paw so after a few days of failed treatment i took him to Dr. Gordon and he treated his paw many times now and it always work. Dr. Gordon even got a little mad at me for not giving my dog the complete medicine as it will help him throughly, showing me that he cares for my grumpy dog lol. He also has a hairless dog so i feel he has more knowledge about the hairless breed. All of the questions l had he has answered and helped me. He has personally called me to check on my baby when he was sick and to keep me informed about blood test, exams etc. Im very content with him. To that guy Jim. He does have recent reviews! If you didn’t like his way of working is another thing, Dr. Gordon is not even that old for you to say his good days have passed. He is in the right age of good knowledge and experience I would say. Previous young Vet’s I went before Dr. Gordon only care about the money and dont even have enough experience. It took me a while and good amount of inexperience Vets to finally feel my baby is in good hands with Dr. Gordon. Thank you 😊
