How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Southeast Veterinary Neurology

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

This was such a positive experience for us in a very scary time. Everyone made us feel so comfortable and explained all results in detail. The follow up with sending all results to our doctors and calling to check in was also so wonderful and helpful. Thank you for a very positive experience! Every single person from the front desk to the doctors was amazing!!! Feel comfortable knowing your fur baby is in the best of hands when here. Truly a top notch organization. THANK YOU!

I am very grateful to every staff member we met at SEVN. They saw our pet on very short notice and performed surgery the same day. So far we have had a positive outcome, our pet has regained movement and we are hopeful he will make a full recovery. Thank you for helping my beloved dog and for the care provided. The outgoing patient briefing was very detailed and follow up amazing. I highly recommend SEVN and the surgeons and nurses who perform miracles every day. Thanks to Mark the intake nurse for reassuring us all would be ok, also to Intern Dr. Mize for his initial assessment and advice on how to proceed and keeping us calm during a stressful time and Dr. Reese whom we did not get a chance to meet but are extremely grateful to for saving our pet. Last the ICU nurse who gave us care instructions for Ricky. She was so professional and thorough. I forgot her name but she was the best. Patty and Rachel, thank you for answering the phone when we called over a dozen times for updates on Ricky, always with the same patience and caring. Thank you all for the care given to our four legged treasure.

These guys are on point, super friendly staff, they explained the success rate for the IVDD surgery very clearly and we decided to take the risk and spend a significant amount of money in the 50% chance of it working. Be prepared to spend real money if you want the best and it is not guaranteed. Unfortunately our pup Cash/ AKA Limp Bizkit has not regained feeling in her back legs at 6weeks after spinal surgery. Anyone considering the surgery, it is not easy taking care of a paralyzed pup and is a major commitment that takes significant time and effort, especially for bigger dogs. Lifting, draining their bladder, constant baths from them going to the bathroom on themselves, battle with them 3x's a day to get them to take their meds. Urinary Tract Infections. Not sure how we can take a vacation and leave those responsibilities with someone else. Make sure you try to prepare yourselves and make a realistic decision.

We had a really good visit today with Dr Durr. He and all of the staff were excellent ! We brought our dog in because she was having seizures. Felt very reassured and he was very thorough in discussing her condition . Did not feel rushed at all . He was so pleasant to speak to about her and we feel we are in good hands . Thank you so much from John, Laurie and our Cali girl !❤️❤️❤️

found this place by the grace of Dr. Laurenzo at Lund Animal Hospital. I brought my dog in after he experienced three cluster seizures and was in a prolonged post-ictal phase, unable to walk. Dr. Laurenzo called your office, and after speaking with your team, she started him on the recommended medication. Just one day later, while he isn’t running yet, he is semi-walking, no longer convulsing, and was finally able to sleep for two hours last night compared to none before. The improvement has been incredible. I especially want to start by thanking Wynter, she was such a sweetheart and so supportive throughout the process, along with Dr. D. Thank you all so much. If this is how compassionately you treat me as a pet parent, I can only imagine how exceptional the care is for your patients and their families.
