I can’t say enough great things about West Coast Vets in Pacific Beach. I’ve been a client of Dr. Young for over 10 years, and she has always provided the most thoughtful, knowledgeable, and compassionate care for my dogs. Dr. Young truly treats every animal like family. She takes the time to explain everything clearly, never rushes appointments, and always makes sure you feel confident about your pet’s care. After all these years, I trust her completely. The new West Coast Vets location in PB is fantastic. The atmosphere is modern, welcoming, and very clean, and the entire team is incredibly friendly and professional. From the front desk to the vet techs, everyone goes above and beyond to make both you and your pets feel comfortable. It’s rare to find a veterinary team that combines top-tier expertise with genuine compassion, but Dr. Young and her staff truly do. If you’re looking for a vet you can trust long-term, I highly recommend West Coast Vets in Pacific Beach.

I absolutely LOVE West Coast. I have been going to the Linda Vista location for years, and was happy to visit this new location in PB. It made it much easier to take my boy to the beach afterwards!! Dr.Tia and Micaela (nurse) are amazing. They both took time explaining what was going on with my dog's ear infection and his body. I have not had a dog with thick fur before, so I had many questions about brushing, shedding, his yeast problem, explained EXACTLY how to flush his ears, helped explain how to file the claim with my pet insurance, I mean they really went the extra mile! Thanks guys! So happy there's a new location with the same awesome staff I'm used to!!! See you in a few weeks!!

You couldn't ask for a more caring and honest clinic. The staff is incredible and is lead by Dr Gibbons who has been taking care of my pups for years. I can honestly say I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else. Plus..... this is a privately owned clinic and it shows in all ways.

My pets have been cared for by the WCAH team for years and I would not trust anyone else with my fur babies. The level of medicine and honest love for other people’s animals shows everyday. Their compassion is easily seen by the calming effect it has on pets visiting the vet everyday.

Our old vet moved locations, so we had to start the process of finding someone new in Pacific Beach. I am genuinely relieved that we landed at West Coast Vet in PB. From the very beginning, the entire staff and Dr. J made me feel comfortable and confident in the care our dog was getting. Their attention to detail and the way they explain everything is something I really appreciate. I usually walk into vet visits expecting a big bill and wondering if everything on the list was actually needed. That has not been my experience here. They are honest, clear about pricing, and thoughtful in their recommendations. You can tell they truly care about both the pets and the owners who come in. The office is beautiful. It is brand new, extremely clean, and even has snacks and drinks available in the waiting area. It is such a small thing, but it makes the whole experience feel calm and welcoming. Finding a new vet can be stressful, but West Coast Vet has made it feel easy. If you are looking for a trustworthy and caring vet in PB or the surrounding area, I cannot recommend them enough. I am so glad we found them.
