How to Save on Veterinary Costs at VCA Hillcrest Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

After having experienced a few clinic visits with Dr. Withers and Dr. Garcia, I made the decision this is the new primary clinic. Both are great doctors, professional and knowledgable, and most importantly, they care about my cats! When my 13-year-old baby got kidney failure sign, he got instant treatment and thanks to that, his condition is stabilized and improving! The staff are also amazing! They arranged me the prompt appointments when my fur family members needed. They processed the prescription right away when I called! My cats stayed calm at the clinic. Highly recommended!

Always impressed with the care Dr. Garcia and his team provide. My furbabies have had everything from regular check-ups to surgery to a rare diagnosis and Dr. Garcia’s knowledge, skill, fantastic communication and great team have made our experiences at VCA Hillcrest impressive time and time again.

Avoid this location, front desk staff seems to hate thier job. The El Cajon Location is better in regards to Customer Service. This location is lacking Customer service, you walk in and the front desk don't even acknowledge you lol. The staff here should be transferred to El Cajon to learn Customer Service.
