I suspected my 10 week old puppy had a bladder infection. They took her right in, did the appropriate testing, prescribed the right medication & she's already feeling much better. They proactively call to check on her & we've set up a follow up exam to ensure that she's 100% well. I have every confidence in Bernardo Heights Veterinary Hospital. They always provide above & beyond excellent care. I am grateful for the personal love & attention they have given all my (9) dogs over the past 20 years. Wouldn't have taken them anywhere else. This clinic is the best I've been so far. Came here for a PTLO surgery and considering making them my main veterinarian , even though they are 45 min away. Dr. Anderson and his staff are wonderful, informative, accommodating and very knowledgeable. They give me all the information and do not make the whole process feel rushed. Their pricing is very reasonable considering other clinic charge 4 to 5k for tplo and the complimentary nail trim while under anesthesia is something I really appreciate since other vets typically tack on an additional 20 to 30$. The front desk and technicians are all superb as well.

My dog, Sugar is like my “baby”. I know that’s a common sentiment among some pet owners - but Sugar is amazing and I shopped vet hospitals when I learned she needed some teeth extractions. I chose BHVH because from the moment I entered I could feel a difference. The reception area is a celebration of dogs - with huge framed portraits of dogs lining the wall. And the vet tech who explained the procedure was very thorough and transparent about the pricing. So, I took Sugar there (she is 12 in December) for some extractions. Turns out, she needed 11 teeth pulled including one canine. She made it through the surgery - was groggy afterwards and I took her home. But she was up and running the very next day. I was given very clear instructions prior to the surgery, along with written instructions and prescriptions to prep for the surgery. Afterward, more very clear instructions for how to care for her at home - and the instructions were given by caring professionals who clearly wanted the best outcome for Sugar. She is two days into her recovery and acting like a puppy already. I received a post surgery call from BHVH today to make sure Sugar was doing well. We also scheduled a follow up appointment a few weeks from now. But the kicker was that they also told me they’d made a mistake on my bill - and would be crediting my account over $300! Crediting - not charging more. After I’d already paid the bill. Let that sink in. Well, suffice it to say, I’m a customer for life 🙌

I can’t say enough good things about Bernardo Heights veterinary hospital. They have been incredible in caring for my dog, Gucci. From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming, attentive, and professional. The veterinarians took the time to explain everything in detail and made sure that I understood all the options available for my dog’s treatment. My dog usually gets nervous at the vet, but the team here made sure she was comfortable and calm throughout the visit. They truly care about their patients and go above and beyond to provide excellent care. I feel confident knowing that my dog is in great hands every time we visit.
