We have received such warm and confident care with fast turnaround times for booking appointments, and clear strategies for helping us figure out our little bud's allergy issues. We've had great care from both Dr Chu and Dr Oh. There's no judgment and we feel very supported and listened to, and we appreciate that we never feel pressured with hard upsells (at our previous vet, it made it really difficult for us to gauge what was an actual pressing priority). At Ark, the recommended care approaches feel warranted and important, and all staff feel very caring and make our little dude feel so great that he actually gets excited to come to the vet!

My mom and I have been bringing our pets here for nearly 25 years, and we couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. Dr. Chu and Dr. Oh are truly excellent—both incredibly knowledgeable and kind. They always take the time to explain everything clearly and patiently answer all of our questions. My cats have a history of being very anxious at the vet, but since I adopted them and started bringing them to Ark, they’ve had positive experiences every single visit. With the help of gabapentin, their anxiety is well managed, and the staff has been wonderful with them. My mom’s dogs—a Maltese and a Great Dane—have also always received excellent care. Appointments are easy to schedule, the prices are reasonable, and most importantly, we always feel our pets are in good hands. Thank you, Ark, for taking such great care of our furry family members!

Everyone is very sweet and professional. Dr. Dos Santos is brilliant and shares her knowledge of recommendations for your pet while still respecting your decision. Overall, awesome experience - happy to know my pups have a great place to live a happy health!

I am leaving this review on behalf of my parents. They brought their dog here to have a growth removed. They were quoted $2k - $3k which was insane. I recommended they ask for a second opinion and go to my vet in North County. My vet quoted them $800 for everything. I can't speak for the Ark Animal Hospital's hospitality, but their willingness to upsell by so much is awful. I recommend you also get a second opinion if you go here and are told a questionable amount of money.

My dogs Odie and Chloe are always treated with the best care. Staff is friendly, gentle, and my dogs love them. Dr. Chu has been so great with my pups and the normally the skittish Odie is calm around her. Every medication prescribed has cleared up whatever was ailing my dogs and they even recommended a great doggie dentist in Carlsbad.
