How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Old Towne Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Emergency Care Procedures

It’s helpful to understand how the clinic handles after-hours emergencies, including whether they provide emergency services or refer to nearby emergency hospitals.

Communication Preferences

Great staff! Knowledgeable and caring vets. Took our new puppy there for the first time. Looking forward to a long relationship.

As new patients, we couldn't have asked for a better visit/experience. This hospital does a "Curb Day" and offers a drive through for the community. Drive up, hand off your fur baby, get em back after the visit. The hospital itself is closed to the public for this event to expedite pet appointments. However, since were new patients and Curb Day was the only available appointment, OTAH wanted to make an exception and bring us inside to make sure we had a proper first visit. Answered all our questions, perfectly delivered puppy's first shots. Very friendly. Very helpful. Very affordable for proper pet care. Thank you OTAH.

From the moment I walked into old Town vet in Fair Oaks I felt welcomed. It was clean, the receptionist was friendly, and I had a very short wait time. We were greeted by the vet tech who was great with my dog. We went over her history and then the vet came in. She was also so nice and friendly. My dog responded really great with her too! I feel like I found the right place to bring my dog to get the best care.

We've been going here now on about 3 years. The front and back office staff and vets are very friendly. They take their time (at every single visit) to visit and chat about what our appointment is for the day and to answer any and all questions without making me feel rushed to leave. The lobby is a safe, friendly, and warm environment. We brought our new kitten in without being in a carrier and they were able to place us in a room within a couple of minutes so that our kitten wouldn't be so frightened. We also take our 2 dogs here also. They always love on our pets!! I'm so happy that they are located so close to home.
