How to Save Money at Pandosy Village Veterinary Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
I take both of my pups here and find all the vets to be extremely caring. They address my concerns and are responsive to my questions. The staff is extra helpful when I take both of my dogs in at the same time. The front-end staff is friendly and helpful, and the store has lots of treats and selections of food and toys. I would definitely recommend Pandosy Vet Village to be trusted with your beloved pet.

I have taken my pets there for a while. I understand that all veterinary care is expensive but I found out their prices are quite a bit higher than most vets in the city. I brought my dog in for an ear infection and it took multiple appointments for them to treat it, hundreds of dollars for them to give me ear drops that didn't work. After multiple appointments for that I took him to a different vet where they cleaned his ears, did a full physical exam, gave me 2 prescriptions and actually treated the problem for less money than it cost me for Pandosy to look at one of his ears and give me drops. I also took my senior cat here multiple times and spent an absurd amount of money for them to give me prescriptions that didn't work. They put me on a cancellation list for an appointment and I gave them my availability and they never called me according to my availability and then removed me from the cancellation list. My fiance took our dog for a dental exam, they lifted his left lip and said his teeth were fine, not really a thorough exam in my opinion. The dog was having some problems and so I took him in twice for a full physical exam when we first rescued him. Then his vaccines needed to be updated and they told me a physical exam was required. I had told them that I brought him in less than a month prior for a physical. And they told me I needed to have another one done as the vet needed to decide if that previous exam was "thorough enough". So, the exams you're paying for are admittedly not very thorough. My animals have suffered under their care and so has my bank account.

I had the most amazing experience! The staff were all amazing and extremely knowledgeable. My poor dog had been through so much and I was at a loss as I couldn’t get help at my previous vet or any answers. My poor dog was in so much pain, it was absolutely heartbreaking. They made my dog comfortable and did all diagnostics necessary. They managed his pain and made sure to keep checking up with him. If I could I would give a million stars. Thank you so much! You’ve gained and new customer!

I was a big supporter of Pandosy Village Vet until my most recent unexpected loss of my dog who wasn't even 2. I brought him in for a regular appt and had concerns about his weight and overall demeanour. The vet assured me his weight was normal and that he was just skinny and I am used to seeing dogs who are overweight. Within 3 weeks, my dog developed a mass on his rib cage and I had asked Pandosy to see him and stressed the urgency. They advised me they had no spots available until 4 days later and to try somewhere else. Thankfully the South Mission Animal Hospital offered to see my dog the same day, even though they did not have an actual exam room for us. Within 2 days, my dog was diagnosed with a bone cancer and had to be put down. The other veterinary teams sent cards and were very comforting. Meanwhile Pandosy, his regular vet, did nothing. It hurts to feel that we didn't have the care that we needed from our regular vet during this time. I have contemplated this review for the last few weeks but it needed to be said. I hope that this can be an opportunity for learning and growth for the clinic and how they can better support pet owners in times of hardship.

This place is fantastic! They do such a good job of caring for my little dog. They just removed the nastiest little botfly larva from him. Absolutely disgusting but they handled it like pros
