WOW!! Thank you for a wonderful experience. The whole staff was very happy and friendly. The overall energy of the office is very nice - not tense at all. Blake and Dr. Cushner, I was especially impressed with. Blake went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of - Brie had to have her anal glands expressed and a back toenail trimmed before our exams. Dr. Cushner explained each step of the exam to me, with feedback and questions, and, in turn, answered every one of my questions happily; both Bubba and Brie were very comfortable with Dr. Cushner and Blake the entire time. We have used VP Animal Hospital and their next door Paw Spa for 6 years now for our Berne-doodle. The Veterinarians and the entire office staff are so knowledgeable and wonderful. I highly recommend their services for ALL your pet needs. They truly care about their pet clients.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dr. Santiago is an exceptional veterinarian. You can immediately tell that caring for animals is not just his profession—it’s his true passion. He genuinely loves every animal he treats, and that compassion shines through in everything he does. When I was worried about my dog, Lucky Boy, he took the time to listen to my concerns, explained what he thought was happening, and reassured me with kindness and patience. It’s rare to find a veterinarian who is not only incredibly knowledgeable but also so compassionate and dedicated. He truly treats every pet as if they were his own, and that gives me complete confidence that my dog is receiving the best possible care. Lucky Boy is very lucky to have Dr. Santiago as his veterinarian, and so am I. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a vet who genuinely loves animals and is deeply committed to their health and well-being.

I want to be fair, because this practice has real strengths: the staff is friendly, the office is clean and welcoming, and for routine care such as wellness visits, vaccines, and nail trims, our experience was genuinely positive. My concern is with how they handle complex or recurring medical issues. Over the past year, my dog dealt with a recurring condition across numerous appointments and a considerable amount of money spent, and despite all of that time and expense, I still do not have a management plan for his condition. Several standard screenings commonly used to investigate a recurring condition like his, things like triglyceride, thyroid, and other underlying-cause testing, were never meaningfully pursued. On the occasions related diagnostics came up, they were presented as probably unnecessary rather than explained, so I was never given the information I needed to make a real decision. As a result, the working diagnosis was treated as settled even though, from what I can tell, it was never actually confirmed and other possible causes were never ruled in or out. Care proceeded on an assumption rather than on testing that would have shown what was actually going on. I want to be upfront that I did decline some testing along the way, and I expect that may be offered as the explanation. But I could only make decisions based on what I was told, and these screenings were consistently presented to me as probably unnecessary rather than as important steps to understand what was wrong. I was not given enough information to make a real choice, and the responsibility to explain and recommend appropriate testing rests with the medical professionals, not the client. More importantly, none of that explains why the follow-up testing their own laboratory recommended in writing was never done. That was not something I declined or was ever asked about. It was simply not acted upon. Based on the records I later reviewed, their own laboratory reports twice recommended in writing that a key value be rechecked within a few weeks, and as far as I can tell that follow-up was never done while I was asked to keep coming back. When I put my concerns in writing and asked why these basic, in-scope tests had not been done, the response I received was not an explanation, but a message that this would now need to be handled by a specialist elsewhere. It's also worth noting this practice publicly markets "specialty diagnostics," yet based on their own staff page, none of their veterinarians holds board certification in any specialty. When I finally insisted on a referral, much of the workup had to be started over anyway. I did my part to communicate. Over this year I asked extensive questions, followed up by phone repeatedly, and put my concerns in writing, so this review is not for lack of trying to resolve things directly. I don't doubt the people here care about animals. But if your pet has anything beyond routine needs, ask directly and early whether they have the in-house specialization to handle it, and if they don't, insist on a referral rather than another round of appointments. It's also worth asking whether the follow-up testing their own labs recommend is actually being done. Knowing all of this sooner would have saved us time, money, and, most importantly, gotten my dog appropriate care far faster.

From the moment I walked in every body in the staff was beyond friendly and welcoming . This was mine and Bentleys first time at the Vet and we felt comfortable and at ease. Beth was extremely helpful and kind to my puppy and knowledgeable on her recommendations for vaccines. I had a walk in and they were able to accommodate me easily and help me with my concerns for my new puppy. I definitely recommend this place to everybody. Thank you guys!
